Little Stone Houses For You And Me

This area of the country is rich in many things and stone houses are among those. Precious, old cottages. I plan to spend some time taking photographs of these tiny gems and this is my first attempt. Adorable isn't it?

anything here in Mostly Smoggy So. Cal that even REMOTELY resembles history or cuteness gets turned into a Starbucks.

I've decided that I'm moving into one of these places. It doesn't matter which one. I'll quilt and drink coffee and tea and bake and start over again. So cute! xxxooogretchen

Beautiful! Here in Texas, I was told that they have some sort of law or ordinance now (in our county, at least) that states that any new buildings and/or houses that are built must incorporate some kind of native stone in the facade. Makes for some prettier than average places around here. I LOVE the stone. I like the look of a cottage. I would love to live in one. As long as it came with a gardner...I'm too fed up with the heat to do the yardwork myself. lol

This reminds me, for some reason, of The Quiet Man, the only thing they need is a thatched roof and you could be in Ireland!

Love this post and I love stone houses!

Ok - just because I like your blog and photos, I won't say a THING about how you took one of my favorite John Mellencamp songs and put your own spin on it! HA!

Love the stone houses and that one with the red door - W O W!
