Colonoscopy Anyone?

Did someone say colonoscopy?
Okay, did they prescribe happy pills? Nah...did not need them I guess. But we *were* in a doctor's office. Not always considered to be a place of silliness and fun but it was Mom's regular check up...and we started giggling and then laughing and then getting so silly that the office staff started laughing too. The doctor started threatening to bring in the fire hoses and cool everyone down. Thankfully, the staff has a pretty great sense of humor. The doctor once told me that you had to have one when you look at...well...check...ahem...let's just say..do what he does for a living! Grace thought it all quite fun including messing with Mommy's hair which is already messy enough but in a "supposed to be" messy *styled* way that I have to work at really hard and she decided to un-style it and make it just plan been out in the wind and rain messy and have you ever seen such a run on sentence in your life? A sweet older woman, who was waiting on her appointment, told the doctor that she had been so nervous when she arrived but "those ladies in the waiting room just cheered me right up!" So, we are a bit silly. We are a bit goofy. Maybe odd is a better word. But what do YOU do in the office of a Colon specialist/Gasteroentologist? Hmmm? Come on now...a little colon humor never hurt anyone right?

I've had the scope both up and down, and a little humor would have been appreciated. Love the photos.

I think it is a perfect time to have a sense of humor... that doc is going to see the worse of you and he HAS to know that there is a truly wonderful part of you, too!

I am laughing after that! It really made me smile....I could have used some of that humor too when I went for my colonoscopy. but it was easy as pie.

If you're reading this & need to get "roto rootered" don't worry......nothing to it.

Can tell you are such a 'youngin' cause you don't know allllllll about such things. ,-) Now at my age, I've had both the 'looking-up' and the 'looking-down' numbers. More than once on all of them. Wheeeee.....

I love the pictures and I wish I could meet you in my Dr's office next time. Most of the time every one looks at each other and never smiles.
For that test you need all the humor you can get. Good for you guys.

Oh my...if I had been in the waiting room w/you guys...we most likely would have needed to see a urologists after spending time together...you know to figure out our bladder control problem...I too, believe in laughter as the best medicine...for anything...waiting in line at the grocery store, sitting in the docs office waiting room, at the hair dressers, in the dressing rooms at any dept. store...you name it...I love to laugh...and it looks like you guys certainly made good use of your time spent "waiting....

Yea...what's not to love about a colonoscopy...just saying it or spelling it out makes me laugh...YES I can say that...I had my first just a few months ago...and you know what's coming next....I'm so glad to have that behind me for the next ten years!!!
Sorry...you know I had to...

Blessings...

well, you can always swallow a fruit sticker so the crew will get a big laugh. Someone suggested next time I should swallow a smiley face.

(The thought came to me that in an office like that you really just need to ...uh... crack a smile.)

I had mine a few years ago, and I'll be happy not to have it again for a few years. It's not a bad experience, but that stuff they make you drink...ugh! I heard they've got a pill now!

There is I guess more than one way to make an *ss of yourself at the colon doctor's office!!! Tee hee.
I would be less nervous too, if some lighthearted folks came onto the scene. You probably made a huge difference in there with your great attitude.

Sometimes I wonder about people who cannot smile and walk around with no laughter or humor in their life. I love your sense of humour and I think people are blessed to be confronted by it even at the docs office :)
