We are home! As good as it is to get away, it is always a delight to return home. Our trip down South was wonderful, as it always is. I will be making my rounds to visit you all this weekend. First things first...laundry, cleaning, snuggle the dog and cats, read through the local papers, hug Bill and Dan and do some more laundry!
There are 5 posts to follow this one, all with pictures taken during our little jaunt South. I hope you will enjoy them...if not, please take it up with the Rabbit Run Cottage administration department, Kipper, Lucy and Henry. All complaints will be dealt with accordingly. Or accordion-ly. Can you say, "Polka?"
I hope you are all well and enjoying a sweet weekend. It is hot....spit on the griddle and call me done Sadie Mae! Oh, excuse me. I have been away too long I guess....but it IS hot. 95 today. Bill took Grace and her friend M to the pool but they are now enjoying some *cool* play downstairs.
Stay well....I will be stopping by for a visit with ya'll soon!
Love and Hugs,

Welcome home dear Sue:-) I've just looked at all your pictures and oh my, such fascinating places you got to visit!! I want to go to those flea markets!!!! Such wonderful memories you also shared of the old homestead where your father grew up...almost makes you want to go back to these innocent days doesn't it! I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time and that Grace got to see it all too:-) xoxo
So glad you made it home safely! Amazing pictures as always!
Welcome home~
Doesn't home look good even after only a couple of days. It's nice to get away, but to quote my good friend Dorothy...There's no place like home!

What a pleasure it was to catch up on your blog. I read every word, until I got towards the bottom. .. read most of those too. Crossville memories were so well written. Loved them. You are such a good writer and share such enjoyable photos and anecdotes. I was cracking up at all of the men who remember you fondly. I too was attacked by a rooster and don't remember him fondly. Old Chuck. Big bad checkered and mean. Such nice words of kindness and thanks to your fellow bloggers. Beautifully written. I'm so glad you started blogging. I enjoy your blog immensely. Can't wait to see your other photos. I often use them as my screensaver on my computer. Really fabulous!
Your pictures and your discriptions have made me homesick for the south. How I miss it!
Glad you're home safe and sound.
God bless.

I know that you have been tagged before; but would you like to do it again? I was tagged to provide 8 random facts from Sophie at sophiehoneysuckle.blogspot.com and need to tag 8 more people.
Would anyone else like to be tagged?
You, my friend, are an outstanding photographer. Photojournalist, really. I really feel the places you visited. Welcome home. :)

Your Jefferson City post was so well written. I enjoyed reading it. You have some wonderful childhood memories of times you spent there playing with cousins. An old coal stove? Wow!
Welcome home. Try to stay cool. It's been hotter than blue blazes here in Chicagoland past few days. And humid as all get out. Our windows are sweating on the inside of our house.
So glad you're home and enjoyed your trip down sounth. You can't help but pick up some of the lingo. :o) Looking forward to pictures.
Wow Sue...I enjoyed all the photos!!
Remember the Meramac Caverns signs dotted around Mo? They always remind me of the See Rock City signs...I've seen lots of those, too.
Have you ever passed through Horse Cave, KY? That's where my "folks" lived during the 19th century before heading west, to the big MO!
