Daddy's Day

I know, I know...a day late to publish this greeting but I bet the Dads really don't mind! I hope all the Dad's out there had a wonderful day and enjoyed themselves doing something they enjoy! We had a delicious lunch out, a nice drive around the area which we all enjoyed, ice cream to share and some quiet time spent at Woodland Cemetery. Bill had never made his pilgrimage to the Wright Brother's grave. I had been a few years ago, but this was something Bill, as an aviation enthusiast, long meant to do. I took this opportunity to take some photos (In a post just below) and play with my camera a bit. I actually do love cemeteries. There are great historical lessons to be learned there. Woodland is the final resting spot for many well known people....the Wright Brothers, humorist Erma Bombeck, poet Paul Laurence Dunbar and many other folks who made history right here in Ohio. The evening was spent with Dan and all of us cozy at home. Perfect way to end a sweet day.

Sounds like you had a great day! I love old cemeteries and we are always stopping at them and taking pictures. Hey, posting a day late gives the Dad's two days!

I love to visit old cemeteries. I guess that may be a little bit weird, but I think they are just so cool. and extra cool when there are famous people buried there.
LOVE the pic. You have such a good-looking family!

What a great way to spend Father's Day! Cemetaries DO have much to teach us...Mum and I have done cemetary tours here in our city and have learned a great deal about who settled in our region.
The Wright Brothers plane is on display at the Smithsonian in D.C. and my husband and I couldn't get enough of the Air and Space Museum when we were there...we love anything aviation too!
Hope your day went superbly~!
