7 Weird Things...ONLY 7?

I was recently tagged by sweet "Sugar Bear" and you all know how much I love a good list so here goes....
Each player starts with 7 random weird facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged write their 7 things on their blog and post these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names! That is it!

From the HBO film, "Foreign Affairs" with Joanne Woodward

1. Okay, it is no secret that I adore Brian Dennehy. And here is where I need to mention a few things. I have gotten a few odd emails from people whom I do not know who think they need to "enlighten" me about some things. So let me just say this....there is little to nothing anyone could tell me about this man that I do not know, good, bad, fantastic or rotten. Oh and uh huh....I KNOW he is almost 70 now. But since when did a man getting older preclude someone thinking he is an amazing actor or, dare I say, sexy? Gee whiz, I will be 51 this year and I never did go for men younger than myself! Besides, I do not ask anyone else to follow my lead. I will adore whomever I wish...I have followed this man and his career for over 30 years. He has done some amazing television and film work and yes, been in some real pieces of, let us say, phooey. But on stage he is magnificent. One of the best ever. His 2 Tony Awards were not handed out for phooey. Okay, so I am "weirdly" loyal and protective about this man. Bill will even tell you how HE thinks the guy is bloody great. And no matter how much I adore Mr. D, Bill is, and always will be, my number one man, my hero, my best buddy. 'Nuff said.

Okay, what is so weird....that I followed his career for over 30 years? Had a crush on him for over 30 years? You might think so....not me! Harmless, fun and sweet. That is how Bill sees it. I love that guy....

2. I am a geek for a Royal Wedding. No, they do not always end "happily ever after" and most are far from a real life fairy tale. I am not that silly so please do not send me any "Are you crazy?" emails. Well, about THIS anyway. I just love all the pomp and circumstance and fluff and finery. The pageantry of it all. And NO. I am NOT old enough to have been around for Elizabeth and George V's wedding thank you very much. Hmpf....the very idea....

3. I speak to my pets like I would to a human being. Okay, so do many of you. But I know that there are also many who think I am quite odd to do so. I really DO think they understand me...most of the time. Actually, I think they understand me BETTER than most people do. I surely do understand THEM better than I do many people.

4. I really do think that we should all try to find something we like about everyone else...I am such a Pollyanna that way. Okay, so perhaps I could not find too much sweet to say about....let's say....Adolf Hitler, but other than that....

I do not say it is easy and oh gosh are there times that finding even one thing that I like about someone who is just plain mean or rude is so difficult. But it can be done. Usually. Most of the time. It makes it easier to get along with them if you can find "just one thing" that you can like about them. ONE thing. It is better for your mental health if nothing else. They might not deserve your decision to "get along" with them but it will be better for you and might just rub off....who knows. It has worked for me and it has, well failed miserably, but I still try. Yeah, yeah. Just call me Susie Q Pollyanna.

5. I sing all the time. A lot. Really. A Lot. My children ask me to stop a lot. I am not bad. I am not great. But I sing. And sing. I sing a lot of show tunes. A LOT of show tunes. Right now I am working my way through the Kander and Ebb portfolio. Then I move into a re-evaluation of Lerner and Lowe. The Earth will move.

6. I love my teddy bears. No hidden meanings or psycho analysis needed. For that at least. I just love them. They all mean a lot to me for various reasons. I may be 50 but, about many things, I am still a kid at heart.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7. On that note.....I have seen The Wiggles in concert. Yes, we took my daughter and my nephew but here is the weird part. I LOVED it. I would go again even though my daughter now would probably not be caught there for a million dollars. It was fun and silly and I know their entire music catalog. Weird huh?And that Anthony is kinda cute. I always did like accents....
I am now to tag 7 blog friends....okay. Pulling 7 names out at random....*drum roll please*....
Dawn, Terri, Andi, Jen, Missy, Rosemary, Mari Nanci. If you do not wish to play, heck, that is okay by me. I am weird that way.....or wait. Is that number 8?? Can't I have a number 8 weird fact?? Gee whiz....that annoys me. I want to keep making lists....I am so odd that way. Ooh....that is number 9....hey! How about you ALL do a list....okay...that means you Cheryl, Sheila, Deb, Pea, Teresa, Rhoda, Andrea, Amy, Chris, Betty Jo.....and on and on....
Hi Sue! I finally got around to writing my list today!! Wonder what that says about me!
I can't believe Brian is nearly 70. But hey, we're all nearing 70 everyday! Right? I did marry a younger man...the 2nd time. Only by 2 years. I watched, again, Paul Newman's biography, Saturday night. He's over 80! Still goodlookin', in my opinion.
I love the royal weddings, too. I guess I've been around for all the 20th century weddings, except for George V and Elizabeth and of course the infamous marriage to "that" woman...no not the latest one...the other one, with Mrs Simpson!;-) All this said with tongue firmly planted in cheek, of course. I love all the stories! And I love all the royals!! Some great love stories, there!
We talk to the animals here, too!
Wow are you weird! hehe Just teasing! I can't believe some people emailed you about Brian Dennehy...sheesh, don't they have better things to do? lol I'm a huge fan of Elvis, no matter what he did or didn't do and no matter that he's dead...or not dead...I love the guy:-) Waiting for some emails now! lol I so enjoyed your list...love your sense of humour too:-) xoxo
so love anything royal. books, biographies, you name it.
and i'm so sorry people feel the need to give you their opinion of your likes/dislikes/crushes. i've said it before & will say it again: your opinion of me is none of my business.
So, what are these peoples' problems...Brian is sexy, and I have always thought so...I'm closer to his age (64), but sexy is sexy!! How about Sean Connery?? Also, royals are wonderful...I love to read about them, see them, etc...I am an Angliphile! Pets...I love mine, I have 4 cats...you love yours...and so forth. I really enjoyed your meme!!
Sue, you are too much. I LOVE your answers.
How funny that you reference Pollyanna. I have thought SEVERAL times about referencing her...but I just KNEW that no one would know who in the world I was talking about. Not to mention, my husband is convinced that I'm the only woman of color on the PLANET that has EVER watched that movie, in its entirety, more than once. Sorry, but I love it...hee hee.
I too love to sing. I sing all the time...all kinds of music. Love music!!!
Lastly, I've already taken this challenge. When was the last time you read my blog, missy??? LOL
By the way, I talk to my dog too...AND my kids. But lately, only my dog listens! LOL
I will do my list tonight after work *smile*. I have done one also-but I'm sure I can find 7 more weird things that I do. You know I can. Tee Hee.
I will call you tonight. We went to Tyler's Coach Pitch game last night. He won!! Got home around 8:45 and then we had to watch 24.
Take care and love you all
I've been tagged too and hope to get my list posted tomorrow, or at least this week! Brian is wonderful and I understand how you like him so. I've never seen him live, but I'm sure that is awesome. As far as 70, my hubby is only a few years away from that wonderful age and he just gets better and better, and sweeter and sweeter. I have so enjoyed reading your tag list. Great photos and a real inspiring post. xoxo
Great list Sue..!
Every time you do one of these I feel I know you a little better.
I like Royal watching as well, and used to talk to my cats...they would answer me as well..!
It's nice to see someone who enjoys life and sees things in a positive way. There are far too many gloomy Gussies out there.
I always leave here with a smile on my face...
The Wiggles..??
I enjoyed reading about your {7} weird things about you! You are a great writer.
I just love these lists of 7 weird traits and can't get enough of them!
By the way, you are not the only Wiggles fan that I read about.
Sheila said...
Loved your answers! Actually, I like the Wiggles too! Since I watch little ones, they like to watch the Wiggles. One of them used to bring his own tape once in a while. I got to know the songs, and would find myself singing "Hot Potato" and "Fruit Salad" all day long!
I also talk to my doggies like they were people. My mom and I both used to say that they can understand us perfectly - they just can't answer! (except in their body language, of course!)
