M'Lady Does Tea...Er...Pineapple Juice

M'lady, Lady Grace of Disneyville at Sewingopolis, once again entertained at a grand and glorious tea. Okay, so she decided that cold pineapple juice would taste better but still called it a *tea*. I mean, calling it a *juice* just does NOT have the same elegant flair. As usual, Earl Kipper McGee of Kempcadia...the flamboyant eldest son of Dame Ednanny Liverspot , was on hand. He never turns down a good tea. Also on hand was.... the Grand Duchess Olivinia Delectibunny of Boydsville who was making her first visit to the glorious abode of Lady Grace. She pronounced it, "Quite quaint quarters" to the delight of all. The Earl brought along his dear sister, Lady Lucille Eleanor MonterantzMcGuillicuddy Ricardo McFadden McGee. Now the lady is a beauteous creature but oh.... ...once she spied the many tasty offerings that Lady Grace had prepared for her guests... ...she tossed away all decorum and leaped upon the table! Oh what a shock it was to everyone! Truth be told, Lady Lucille has a taste for the...*ssshhh* c..a..t..n..i..p..and oh what it does to her manners. Deplorable! As horrendous as this was, Lady Lucille had also brought along her other brother, the ne'erdowell Earl Henry James Higgins Ford Fred Mertz McGee who passed among the guests begging, pausing only to chase a poor, bedraggled mouse that wandered in from the field. The Grand Duchess Olivinia was appalled by the behavior of these two and seemed aghast that these ruffians could be related to Earl Kipper. Earl Kip, a most polished and fastidious gentleman almost never forgets his manners...well, almost never. The ever thoughtful Lady Grace even provided the most elegant of receptacles for the guest's retainers while the dined. Of course, Lady Grace was the only one who actually HAS a retainer but we digress... Here she can be seen partaking of her tea...er...pineapple juice, which she slurped, most elegantly, from a spoon. Pinkie up of course! Here we see Earl Kip discussing the lack of hamburger snacks with one of the help, a Miss Susie Q who, much to our despair, was slow to serve, dull witted and clumsy. Here is our glorious hostess, Lady Grace bidding Earl Kip a fond farewell. We also see the Earl's footman, a man he calls simply...Hawkeye. Wilbur Hawkeye was johnny on the spot to attend to the Earl and, while we forgive him for smooching the poor, plain Susie Q, we will find it difficult to forgive his very unglamorous tea attire. Here's to our Lady Grace and the hope that you too will receive an invitation to her next soiree!

I do believe attending a soirée such as this would be most enchanting. I feel I would benefit greatly from the expert tutelage of her Ladyship on the proper way to take tea. So please do send word to my assistant(Miss Daisy Catpawz-Wiskerson) as to the next event. I must insist upon one thing, however, that I am able make the acquaintance of Earl Kipper. He seems like such a fine gentlemen.
With kind regards,
Lady Oceanna Shellington Blueworth Arteest

Sue, thanks so much for the smile that your post put on my face. After having to get an unscheduled filling replaced in a tooth today, I really needed a boost to my spirits. I would love to come to tea anytime!

What a wonderful tale! The names are quite special and the hostess seems most gracious - in spite of the manners of certain guests which shall remain unnamed!! Thank you for sharing a few brief moments of high society. :)

I am reading this while at work and just laughing with joy! This is so delightful. I may just print this out to read over and over whenever I am in a bad mood. You should write a book - you are so talented and wonderful with a story.

A tea party? I love tea parties. You are making wonderful memories for Grace and yourself with these posts. Your photos are terrific.

Susie, I have a feeling you've had this happen to you before, but it's new to me. I promise not to do it again but... You've been tagged!

I guess I'm supposed to direct you to my blog, and then your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to read the "rules" and write 8 random things about yourself.

Don't feel obligated though. But you might like to read the brief write-up I did on you at my blog. I hope I did you and your blog justice.
