Give Us The World....

create your own visited country map or check our Venice travel guide
http://www.world66.com/ Such a fun site to visit! You can make a map of just the US showing the states you have visited, just Europe or, as I have here, the whole world! I made our map just like the one in our storage room...a world map with push pins to show which countries in which each member of the family has traveled. I know it looks like a lot but, as much of a travel hound as I am, a lot is never enough! Of course, being military helps quite a bit! What is the old saying? Join the military, see the world? Yup.... We have the entire US covered. I still need to get to Hawaii but Bill has been many times. Each time we plan a trip to our 50th state, something has happened to put that trip on the back burner. Someday... Now, do remember that this map is for ALL of my family! Many of these places Bill had been but not me! He is the one who has seen so much of the Middle East, Africa and South America. But hey, I got all those sweet goodies he brought back! Also, when you punch in North America, it colors in ALL of Canada. Now, I have seen a good bit of that great nation but certainly not all! Yes, I have been to most of the 50 states. My parents loved to travel and I went on quite a few Summer and Spring Break vacations. Also, many of my travels have been courtesy of old Uncle Sammy. Looking back now, it was often a rough go but I am so grateful we stuck it all out and I know how lucky I am to have seen so much of this country. It is a wondrous place filled magnificent people. Okay, before I start humming "America the Beautiful" I better head off to bed. Maybe I will dream of suitcases and airplanes and hotels and road maps and....

dIf I was wealthy I would travel the world by boat, slowly.... spending weeks and weeks in each city, renting cottages at the end of village lanes and flats in big cities, and soaking up local flavor!

Thanks so much for posting pics of the bunnies. I am really glad you like them :-)

Thanks for the link. This should be really fun. Each time we visit a new state, we stop at the visitor's center for a map. Then I take a yellow highlighter and mark each road we travel in that state. One day we'll have all 50 states marked up! When you put together your photo grids, how do you do that? Is there a certain program you like to use? You can e-mail me if you like: homesteading@comcast.net
Thanks!
Paula

Thanks Sue for stopping by my blog tonight and leaving the SWEETEST words...you are a living doll to say such wonderful things...you mentioned that you thought I looked like an elegant and attractive woman...that is so sweet...but let me tell you this...looks can be deceiving...I quess I can clean up ok...but know this was a picture taken on a good hair day...and I actually had on makeup and something other than my uniform...which in the summer...consists of capri pants (the baggy/stretchery? they are the better) and a tee shirt or tank of some type (now I never wear this in public...but people that come by HAVE seen me in these uniforms) my winter uniform is usually some type of stretchy winter pant (either sweats or work out pants...work out being a bit deceiving, too) and a big ole baggy sweat shirt...I hate wearing makeup...but know I need to...especially in public...so you see...I really just took a good picture on those days...you should see the pictures of me on any given Christmas morning...but I tell you...I love the fact you said all those sweet and lovely things about me...your the sweetheart...and I look so forward to getting to know you better...I love it...now I have a new friend in Ohio!!

Blessings
