Paper Roses...Er...Flowers

These flowers are quick to make and your
children/grandchildren just might enjoy making them as little Easter/Spring/Just Because gifts! Gracie loves this project.
Pastel colored tissue paper
Chenille stem
Scissors
Ruler
Cut tissue paper into rectangles of desired size (5x7" is the size pictured). Stack 4-6 pieces of tissue paper. Use the same color or different colors. Accordion pleat the tissue paper working from the long side. Wind one end of the chenille stem around the middle of the accordion pleated tissue paper. Gently separate each layer pulling upwards toward the middle of the flower. Now, how easy is that? SO easy that even Susie Q can do it!

I loved making these flowers when I was younger. We even made "roses" out of pink kleenex and thought they were "so beautiful"!!! What fun!
