Ah, it is February 14th, Valentine's Day. Romance is in the air. Or is that cabbage cooking? Nope, it's romance. Even though I do know Valentine's Day is a holiday tightly embraced by the card companies I still can’t help but get a warm tingling feeling when I think about my own true love. Uh huh. Tingly. All over. Yes, even after all these years. And, oh how I do love a good romantic movie.
So, let's give Cupid a break today...
(Poor little guy. It is so bloody cold here that I fear the dear soul may freeze his..um..his...um...his wings off.)
...and stay in, cuddle under a quilt and watch a movie or four.
Here is a list of many of my favorite romantic films, in no particular order. Are any of YOUR personal favorites here? Perhaps there are some you might wish to see for the first time...
Murphy's Romance
Sabrina (Both Versions)
The Goodbye Girl
Barefoot In The Park
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Casablanca
Dr. Zhivago
Moonstruck
The Way We Were
When Harry Met Sally
Sleepless In Seattle
You've Got Mail
While You Were Sleeping
Sense and Sensibilities
Chocolat
The African Queen
Bringing Up Baby
The Quiet Man
Roman Holiday
City of Angels
Foreign Affairs
My Favorite Wife
The Lion of Africa
Notting Hill
It Could Happen To You
Return To Me
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
The American President
Serendipity
Just Like Heaven
Sweet Home Alabama
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Just remember...if you are not *in love* now, don't give up hope! No one is ever too old to find love...
Love can be just around the corner, on a beach, a plane, in a classroom, at the DMV, at an auto repair shop or even at an interstate rest area. Just open your heart. And eyes. And nose. Smell it? Romance IS in the air...

My romantic movie has to be Barefoot in the Park..hubby and I saw it around Valentines Day in 1968 and decided to get married, and we did... 6 weeks later in March 1968. We just watched it again, and you know what...I would marry him all over again too..!

Wishing you a most wonderful Happy Valentine's Day - the card company thing is true - which is why we all need to spread the love beginning for ourselves and then to those around us every day. So I send some to you now...for being a fun and bright spot of my day.
Great list of films, I think I've seen them all. Good idea to curl up and watch a few!
