Another List

IF YOU COULD GO SOMEWHERE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Australia...the land that gave us Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe. *sigh*
WHAT WAS THE BEST TRIP YOU HAVE EVER TAKEN?
My first trip to Europe....to England. I was so excited about everything! I even wanted to hug the poor lady that checked my passport at Heathrow. Silly, bloody American that I am.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MOVIE?
Uh huh. "Silverado".
DO YOU THINK LIFE IS HARDER OR EASIER FOR CHILDREN THAN IT WAS WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG?
Definitely more difficult. Life is more complicated now, more stressful for most families, even the children. Too fast paced. Priorities are so warped. It is all about acquiring material possessions and making the big bang at work. Personal lives have suffered, family life has suffered. Oh gee, am I waxing nostalgic now? So life was never quite as neatly packaged as it was on "Father Knows Best" but heck, it was less worrisome and filled with more innocent delights for children. But then, that is just my opinion and we all know about opinions....
HAS LIFE MADE YOU MORE HOPEFUL OR CYNICAL?
I remain the quintessential optimist. I always believe that things will improve, people are basically good and that the Red Sox will go to the World Series. Oh wait....
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE THE BIGGEST WORLD EVENTS IN YOUR LIFETIME?
Vietnam. The assassination of JFK, MLK and Robert Kennedy. The Space Race. The Cincinnati Bengals going to the The Super Bowl. AW come on....really!
WHAT ARE YOUR MOST BELOVED PERSONAL ITEMS?
My photo albums. Believe me when I say I have a lot of 'em. A LOT. An embarrassingly huge number of them.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF IN YOUR LIFE?
My children and my marriage. Those 2 things and my ability to crack open an egg using just one hand.
JOHN WAYNE OR CARY GRANT?
Cary Grant definitely. Hands down. Hands up.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE IT TO SAY ON YOUR TOMBSTONE?
She was loved. She was good at heart. She will be missed.
Or, perhaps, "Never cheated at cards or drove doughnuts in yards and passed her SATs. She patted dogs, once went for a jog and covered her mouth when she sneezed.". Kinda says it all doesn't it? *sniffle*
