Weekend Finery
There was not a lot of sun light peeking through the clouds this weekend but oh how warm & sunny the days felt anyway! We had a full weekend of sweet moments with family and friends. Our dear friends, B & J, were here from Tennessee so we had a small get together with a group of our buddies. On Saturday evening, our wonderful neighbor, W, had a delicious dinner for us and 12 other neighbors. It was just one of those nights that you eat well, laugh often and enjoy the company of some very special people.
Sunday found us in church, visiting with family and enjoying nature. We took a drive through some favorite areas of town and then stopped by the Cox Arboretum for a walk. A little drizzle didn't hurt! Heck, I didn't even melt. I am not made from sugar you know, oh no, far from that!
Then we ventured downtown to The Neon Movies and saw "Miss Pettigrew Lives For The Day" and so enjoyed it! All in all, a nice two days!
I hope your weekend was a sweet one and that you found plenty to smile about. I will be able to return to visiting all of you today and tomorrow. I have missed doing that regularly!

Hmmm. I love the flowers and that house is what I would dream to live in.. although Bob and I don't share that vision so it probably won't happen.
My weekend... well, come by and see!
Glad to hear that you had a wonderful weekend and didn't melt away! ha. Love all of the flowers! I would have been in Heaven!
xo

Sounds like an ideal weekend to me! Your pictures are just lovely!
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, despite the sprinkles of rain. I've never melted either from a little moisture.
Hi Sue, sounds like such a fun time. Your pictures are amazing -- you need to publish them in a book!
xoxo,
Mary
Beautiful photography as always!♥
Oh just look at all those beautiful spring blooms. Wonderful
Your weekend sounds lovely! Dinner with friends and neighbors is a favorite of mine. I have heard of that movie and I'd love to see it too. I enjoyed Amy Adams so much in Enchanted.
Blessings,
Gina
Hey.... I am going to Cox Arboretum tomorrow!!

Dearest Sue,
I do declare that Spring has finally found my little corner of the world! lol We had snow last week and this weekend it went up in the high 70's and we had nuttin' but sunshine:-) Ask me if I enjoyed being outside! lol
Sounds like you had a terrific weekend...nothing like family, friends and good food to make it so:-) Omigosh, look at all those flowers...you are wayyyy ahead of us here where flowers blooming are concerned. Beautiful pictures, my friend!!
I've read the posts I had missed while I was being a bad blogger and taking time away from the computer to enjoy the weather so I'm now caught up on all your news:-) Love ya! xoxo
Absolutely gorgeous photos, Susie!
We have flowers everywhere too, but we're having an unusually cold spring...brrr!
Wouldn't a little melting in the rain be a fabulous weight loss solution?? Alas I don't melt either. Glad you had a fun weekend and I loved all those daffodils...sigh..!
Janet
We have an arboretum here! We may not have much to do in our little town, but we are blessed with people who love to garden and love to make the town look beautiful!
I love all those landscape pictures. I would love to have a drift of Daffodils like that! :-) Rosie
These photos are AMAZING!!!!
Your weekend sounds wonderful!!! Nothing better than being with friends!!!
Beautiful spring pics!
Sounds like a splendid weekend to me Susie and I love Grace's new do. :)
Cox Arboretum, huh? Wow!!! Stunning. Thanks for sharing those photos. And you must never tire of hearing this, but WOW those photos were really beautiful. Excellent composition, excellent lighting, saturation of color is great ... WOW.
You really know your stuff Susie Q.
I have missed you. Glad to hear you will be coming around for visits today and tomorrow. I think we were both at Melzworld at the very same moment because our comments appeared at the very same moment. That was fun. I got all excited, thinking: OH! AT THIS VERY MOMENT I AM VISITING THE VERY SAME BLOG AS THE FAMOUS (AND NOW RICH) SUSIE Q!!! Who can I tell?
So ... I'm telling you. Exciting huh?
But from your angle it PROBABLY sounded like: I was at the very same blog at the very same moment as the amazing Wendster. LOL. Sure!
These pictures are breathtaking. They would look amazing enlarged and framed. We don't have that kind of beauty here.
Good Morning Sue!
BEAUTIFUL PHOTOTS!
YOU are one talented chica..
WE are so lucky to be able to bask in the glow of ALL that you so creatively share here.
Love,
Kim
Please excuse the extra "T".. must go pour another cup of coffee now.
