I am still looking for the right thing for this wall (above). I am
doing my *shopping* inside my own cottage! I will find it, eventually!
A girl gets bored sometimes right? A little change of scenery does the trick even if that scenery change takes place entirely in her dining room! 2 cans of pain, new curtains and a re-arrange of special treasures made a big difference. I like it...until the next time I need a change!
I want to thank Penny for inspiring me. I have seen photos of her beautiful home and loved the burgundy walls in a few spaces. I also purchased the ever so sweet rabbit tray from her shop! Thank you Penny!
And thanks to Kathy as well. It was 2 of her precious hearts that helped make my decision!
Her works are so dear!
I hope you are all well. I am still catching up here and yes. I do have many other photos to share. I promise to have them up soon. I am visiting each of you as I can and do try to leave a comment or two! Please know how much each of you means to me. You are all blessings in my life.
Love and Hugs, Susie Q

Oh, Susie, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR NEW PAINT COLOR! Your rooms are just gorgeous!
Even though my rooms are small, I painted the dining room and kitchen red and have never been sorry. They are so romantic and warm!
Don't you feel that the walls now seem to wrap their arms around you and make it a warm place to share food with your family and friends?
I love the smell of paint in the spring! I can't wait to get started but we haven't had temperatures warm enough yet for me to open windows for me to paint. (I need to use Kilz first because I am painting out the dark wood.)
How wonderful! I love it Susie! Every little detail is just right and I adore the tray from Penny. Do you have a before shot of the dining room? What color was it before? I just love color and I love what you have done!
I love the new look! I got all my spring/Easter taken down and then have worked nonstop without a day off. I do hope to work on my home soon. i am really feeling bad because my home is my castle. Well, my castle is dirty lol. All I have been doing is sitting at the nursing home, coming straight home, eating a bite and going to bed. Finally im off Thursday and then I go and spend a whole weekend with my client and not coming home. Wow big weekend.
I really love red so I just LOVE, LOVE, your new color! The tray is so pretty and I've always loved Kathleen's hearts! It looks gorgeous and I can't wait to see more!

What color is your paint? That is lovely! I wish you lived close enough to come over and help me. I love this room. I think you should put it on that HGTV web page that features rooms. Yours would do well!
Oh Sue, you know I'm a sucker for red!!! It looks fabulous, and I adore all your treasures. :)

Mary
You are making me want to go home and rearrange things right now! Looks great.

Susie,
Your rooms look so warm and cozy. Love the red walls.
I love to "redecorate" my rooms too by simply changing quilts and knickknacks. :)
Blessings,
Gina
Hi Susie,
I love your dining room. Red is one of my favorite colors, especially in a dining room! Love how you've decorated it too!
Just beautiful!

So beautiful! :D
I would be nervous about the bolder colors but seeing yours makes me want to go for it! It does look truly gorgeous!
We just got back from our ten-day road trip, and I posted Part 1! :)
Good lord Susie, it's gorgeous! I love tulle and the deep red wall color...it's all gorgeous. And cozy. Warm is the word I'm looking for!

I love this room! It looks tres elegant! And, at the same time, it looks oh so inviting and warm and just plain happy. How about coming to redo my dining room for me? lol
two cans of pain? ha ha ha.
It would be for me that is for sure.
It's gorgeous Sue...I'm going to go over to RMS and give you 5 stars as soon as I leave here. I hope I can find you.
Today is my "off" day. I asked J if we had anything at all to do, today. Nothing, not a thing! So I am visiting my blogs and catching up on rest, getting ready for the next round!

Oh, I love it!! I am such a fan of your rooms, as I have told you!! :) And, I feel your red paint pain....we did our office, and used a dark grey primer first.....THIS primer color, as opposed to the pink primer I used in the laundry...would "be perfect", the paint seller told me. One coat of primer and FOUR, yes, FOUR coats of red paint later....there are STILL spots that I am not happy with....but that is what BIG furniture and art work is for....Love this blog!!!
I love that color - our bedroom at our last house was that color. How cozy!
Hi, Sue! I have been so busy & can't believe it's been so long since I've been by! I know I've missed a lot, but glad I caught this new DR redo. It looks beautiful! If you remember, my DR is red too & it just makes a statement in their. Love, love it!. You've done a great job with the accessorizing & that vignette with the rabbits made me catch my breath. Girl, I love that! painting can be a pain, but SO worth it. I'm posting my blue bath tomorrow, so go & have a look!
Big hugs!
