Let's Go Walkabout...

The frost tinged Autumn winds rush about...wickedly tearing delicate leaves from their noble station and callously tossing them to the ground... It is here, here on the cold, brown earth; here where they band together & rise up to face their enemy. Once again they face this frigid gust of air, powerless no more. They madly dance and twirl in this vortex like tumbling multi-colored glass chips in a child's kaleidoscope. Shredded bits of fiery orange, crimson red and ruddy gold frantically trying to escape this lowly place. Breaking free, they reach for the sun lit tree tops and touch the Heaven's blue. I went on a little Autumn walkabout this morning. I thought I would take all of you along too. It is so much nicer when a stroll is shared with friends. Have a sweet weekend...stay well, stay safe and remember to smile, you have such a pretty grin! Oh yes you do! There...see?

Hi Susie,
Love the Autumn pictures!!!
I'm glad you and I are the same age. I turned 51 in June. It's a weird number. Is your birthday on the 26th(Same day as the wedding)
I will toast to your birthday at the wedding. You are a great lady!!!
Love your Halloween goodies, by the way. What a fun swap.
Have a great weekend,
Rosemary

Your colors are breathtaking. I think here the leaves will just drop without giving us any show at all.

Your Autumn foliage is gorgeous, Susie! Ours hasn't even really begun to show much color at all so far. When we have a frost that should change.

Hope you have a great birthday, just in case I don't get by here again before the big day!

Hugs,

Diane

Awesome day for the leaves...I actually saw a "vortex" of them right down the street on my way to the bank earlier...

Grinnin' just for YOU!

Hello Susie.. autumns color may be in all her glory but I have not seen it in my garden as yet! All my trees turn color a bit later on or is it that our evenings have not been cold enough!
Your photos show how autumn is a ~mosaic of golden colors!~

Thank you for your continued get well wishes as I heal! I truly am uplifted by your words of encouragement!hugging you softly NG

I have never seen such pretty colors and fall leaves in my life. I don't think unless you live in the South you realize their beauty. All that turns here is the pines and they are not pretty. Thanks for letting me go with you!
have a great weekend,Brenda

you and I have been drinking the same tea.

Except you have some gorgeous pictures.

It is raining cats dogs leaves & limbs here..... so I doubt there will be any pretty colors tomorrow. But I'll be out there looking.

Just beautiful - I wish we had colors like that around here! Of course, it was still nearly 90 degrees yesterday, so that could have something to do with it!

When I see amazing pictures like these it really makes me question why I live here in the land of no seasons. You are such a wonderful photographer!

Sheila said...

We don't have the pretty colors here yet like you do! I'm waiting for that. They said on the news yesterday that because we had warmer than usual temps, we're about 7-10 days behind in our pretty foliage. Your pictures are beautiful!
