Have An Hour To *Rough Up*?
I dropped Grace off at school this morning, ran some errands and then then had an hour or so to kill (that sounds too violent..how about an hour to *rough up*?) before picking up my nephew at pre-school. So I took a drive to Lebanon, Ohio. Now, these are the photos you get while sitting at red lights and shooting out of the window! I hope to go next week with one of my dearest friends and hope to be able to take some more. Lebanon is a wonderful small town, filled with antique shops, quaint spots, historic buildings and an old fashioned ice cream parlor.
So, any takers? Let me know and we will head off to Lebanon to *rough up* a few hours. I will buy the ice cream....
Have a sweet weekend dear friends!

I never knew Lebanon was such a pretty place. I have heard of The Golden Lamb, but never had dinner there. Great photos as usual Susie Q. Have I mentioned that I love to say in my mind Susie Q and write it out...it's so fun! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
We're going to a pumpkin patch, (despite the hot weather) and the Renaissance Festival on Sunday! Hopefully I'll have some decent photos to post.
Wow...what a beautiful place!! Wish I could go with you. Can't wait to hear all about it.
Hugs!
Kat
(what type of camera do you use? your photos are always incredible!)
Oooooohhhh Susie, don't tempt me so!!!! HOW I wish I could go there with you!! So, I'm just going to have to go there virtually through your blog!!!
Have a lovely weekend!!xxx
What a charming place...I'll have to keep this in mind for the Red Hats!
Love & Hugs to YOU!
Such a pretty town. I love the way that the little shops put seats outside. That seems so welcoming. I certainly could "rough up" some hours there.
I am always amazed at the beautiful place you live.
Such a lovely place to visit!! Looks like a town out of a movie. Maybe I should carry my camera with me when I'm out and about!! You certainly have a way of capturing the spirit of the place. Thanks for the gorgeous fall colors!! :]
I so want to go rough it up with you!! Lebanon looks like the quaint kind of town that I just adore...how fun to browse through all these little shops and look at that architecture, just beautiful! xox
What a pretty town,we could stop in for lunch somewhere.
Let me know where we went.
I often wonder, when I see your photos, if the place is as idylic as it looks. Or if it's YOU that has such a positive view and show us the world through close cropped beauty that allow to illumniate the page for us. I mean, do you ever take a photo of a charming building with a man on the other side flipping you off, then simply crop it?
I love your work. And your sensibility.
Never heard of it, but it is beautiful. You always have such pretty pictures.
Hi Susie, what a beautiful blog you have here. Thanks for the gorgeous pics of this Ohio town, all dressed up for fall. You got a lot accomplished at those stop light. : )
Can't wait to go...sounds like a perfect afternoon ...where should we all meet??
Janet

Girl, your photos leave me breathless. How good they are! I love how you write, your author's voice is RIGHT THERE.
holy cow - i wish we lived in a local that had four seasons, not just spring, summer, somewhat cooler summer and cooler spring!
Well Sue! I just awarded you the "You Make Me Smile" award and when I came here to announce it, I see you have already been awarded this!! Well, I am not suprised! You are a wonderful, entertaining woman, and I am glad I have had this chance to get to know you!

Dear Sue,
Oh my gosh, you took these photos out of your car window?! I recently tried to take some photos of my small town while walking down the street and they came out terrible -- all telephone wires and odd angles! You are a wonderful photographer!
Thanks for your so sweet comments on my picture!
xoxo,
Mary
It is always a pleasure to walk about this time of year and see autumn in all its glory..the town seems so quiet like you have it all to yourself!Thank you for sending me get well wishes! hugs NG
Okay, that's it. I'm planning a trip to Ohio. I'm coming up there and I'm staying with you and we're going to Lebanon and to all those other cool places you keep taking pictures of. So let's just pencil in the first week of October 2008, shall we? Yes, we shall. It's a plan.
My husband still hasn't heard anything on that job in Toledo. Which is actually pretty normal, as I'm sure you know. (Government work and all.) But - assuming that he didn't get it - I'm going ahead with the plans for a lovely little visit. I prefer crisp sheets and pumpkin scented candles. (Just giving you a heads up - don't want any awkwardness when it comes to deciding how to stage my room there and all!). lol
