Leaf Peepin' With The Boo Man

New Update below... I picked up my nephew at his school today and we took a little drive. Cloudy and cool, it looks like Autumn has finally decided to stay. The leaves are beautiful now...lots of yellow, red and orange mixed in with the constant greens. We thought we would take you along for the ride. I hope you don't mind if we play Sesame Street Classic Songs. It's all the rage among the 4 year old set. So, as the strains of Rubber Ducky begin, we will sing (Oh yes you will...Boo will demand that you will!) and enjoy the leaf peeping... Can you see the leaves falling? There was a gentle breeze and each small gust tossed a few around in the air. We sat for a moment and listened to the rustle... This is how we enter our development...I love the trees along the streets. That is a small city park at the top of the street. Turning the corner into our alley way... Pulling into our driveway... Kinda pretty eh Boo Man?? To some it may seem like dreary ol' day but I love rainy weather. How I wish I could send some of this to Southern California. We have several friends, included many blog friends, in the area. All are in our prayers and thoughts. Today is my brother and sister in law's 15th anniversary. It seems like only yesterday they were married in a lovely log church in Gatlinburg, TN. It was a sunny, cool day and the trees were at their color peek. It was a sweet and precious day. My sis in law just called and said that my brother, without any hints from his pushy big sister mind you, sent 2 dozen roses to her desk at work. Good going little bro! I will be watching the little Boo tonight so they can have a quiet dinner. I always cherish time spent with the small guy. Happy Anniversary Jim and Lisa! Update: I have just discovered that we can also celebrate Pat's 100th post, Rosemary's (in Ca) 31st anniversary and the 15th anniversary for Robin (at Bittersweet Punkin'). It is also Terri's (of Lakewood Manor) gorgeous daughter's birthday! Stop by and wish each of them a happy day! I send you all hugs and smiles aplenty! On a somber note, I need to add this update. Please do visit Sandi and Kari today. Their handsome family member, Joey Andrus, left this world due to his horrific work related injuries. Words can not express what is in my heart. Keep Joey's family in your prayers, especially his wife, mother and 2 young sons.

Beautiful, just beautiful. I enjoyed the ride so much and even the music. Our leaves are just beginning to turn. It's been so warm here and so dry and we finally got rain today. I loved it. I just wish I could send some to California. ~ Lynn

Happy Anniversary to Jim and Lisa!

It seems the grey and rainy days make the leaves appear even more brilliant!

I'm celebrating my 100th post, with a giveaway...come on over to the back porch and sign up!

I love the music on your blog. You will have to teach me how to do that on my blog sometime.

Those trees are just GORGEOUS!!!!! What a treat to see those colors everyday in your neighborhood! We never quite get the colors down South.

It has been rainy and dreary all day today, but in a sense I really have enjoyed it. It "feels" like Fall is on its way and it's nice!

Just gorgeous fall foliage. I love those red maples. I'm planning on planting one in my backyard just so I can have the joy of seeing those leaves every fall. I'm thankful for the rain we're getting and also wish I could send some to Cali.

Thank you for taking me on your drive....it was beautiful!! Our colors are not so brilliant this year. We had a late Easter freeze and a very dry summer...This weekend is suppose to be the peak....

Oh.My.Word! Those photos are absolutely gorgeous! I think I would spend all my time outdoors if we had that view. Incredible. Here in Florida, we just don't get the fall changes. I miss it so much.

I'm so sad tonight about Joey's death. What a terrible loss.

Hugs!

Those are such vibrant fall colors!

Funny, when it rains here, our colors run more on the dreary side...but it seems to just bring the colors out where you live!

I don't know the family you mentioned, but what a horrible loss! I'll remember them in my prayers!
