A Little History...

Thank you to each of you who said such lovely things about our kitchen. Leave it to the wonderful blog community to bolster my confidence and put a huge smile on my face! You are all amazing! And yes, I still have those questions to answer...that will be done this week! Or, at least, I HOPE to! We will be leaving for Washington D.C. next weekend and are excited to show diva daughter the nation's capital. Her big brother always loved it so we hope she will too. As usual, I am going to have to play catch up with my visiting and posting this week! It seems that life just moves at such a whirlwind pace and this old gal does not always keep up as well as I should! I will be around to see you all soon...I hope each one of you had a sweet weekend and found plenty to smile about. It was a busy few days here but the sun was shining and the birds sang happily...that always makes for sweet moments! We had one of Grace's friends with us and keeping up with 2 10 year old girls is not for the weak of spirit! Ah, but it was fun. We spent part of Saturday with Mom and the girls at Carillon Historical Park in Dayton. It was such a pretty day and the first annual Alpine Heritage Festival was taking place on the park. Can anyone say "Brats!!"? No...not Braaaats...BrAHts...as in yummy! Here are a few shots from the day... Have a good week, do take care of yourselves and remember that each of you is thought about with great affection...by little ol' me.
Love and Hugs, Susie Q

Wow. Those photos are amazing. I'm embarrassed by the substandard ones I take for my blog after seeing yours!

We're heading to D.C. for a vacation in July, so I'll look forward to hearing how your trip goes. I haven't been in years. -Julia :-)

WOW!!! Those photos are absolutely STUNNING!!!! You are so very talented!

I hope you have a wonderful time in D.C. We love the city as well, although we haven't been since Delaney was 1 (and she is almost 12). McKenna went two summers ago and loved it! (We are going to the Maryland coast for a World Series with Delaney's softball team, but i don't think we'll even have time to get to D.C.)

Talk to you again soon!!
