A Group Get Together in 2008?

I know I just posted (see below) but I want to propose and idea to you all...I have been thinking about this for quiet awhile. I have bounced the idea off of dear Andi and Valerie and both have been very supportive! Many of our blog friends have participated in group a get together (Our Kat and Rhoda just had an amazing time with some of their blog friends!) or have been able to meet a few blog friends one on one. I have been able to enjoy the latter and what a blessing. Because of this I have been toying with the idea of a blog buddy weekend. I am hoping to hear from a lot of you and want to see if any of you would be as interested as I am in having a Blog Babe Blowout. When and where is to be decided and I am hoping to hear from all of you on that as well. Spring? Summer? Fall? Disney World? New York City? Chicago? San Diego? Santa Fe? Dayton, Ohio? Hey. I am spit balling here... Fall or Spring in The Amish Country of Ohio or Indiana...Summer in the Northeast? Spring or Fall at Disney World? Christmas time in San Antonio? Any season at Opryland Hotel in Nashville? San Francisco? Vermont? How about St. Louis? Lots of free things to do and smack in the middle of the country... I hope we can bounce some ideas back and forth and that we will have lots of interest in this! I am willing to handle lots of the hotel arrangements as I have done this for other groups. I will need ideas and likes and dislikes and who thinks they can come and when the majority think would be best to meet, and where. Heck, you could all come here and stay at Rabbit Run Cottage. It would be crowded yes but that could be cozy right? I was just hoping to plant this seed of an idea in your heads..think about it okay? Love to you all...

April in Paris please!!!

Actually I would select New York City as my first choice to meet. Love the Big Apple!!! What I need is a date so I can schedule the time off to make the trip. I'm really happy with anywhere you choose but prefer somewhere close to an airport where public transportation is available. Unless you select Florida then I'll just drive.

Sound like a fun plan for 2008.

Sue,
Now this is exciting. I feel so connected to so many of you already and sometimes it makes me feel sad that we might never meet. But guess what? We might meet, we WILL meet. Anytime or anywhere is OK with me. Let's see...I love California ..ooh, ooh how about Carmel. Yeah pricey I know. I've never been to Florida although I am not a big Disney fan ( there that cat is out of the bag ,LOL). Boston or Providence, someone could stay here. Endless possibilities. Thanks, dear Sue, for coming up with this idea, just when I needed it.
AFA,
Janet

Oh, oh, oh...I love Boston too!!! You can fly right in...take a taxi to the hotel and stay on the Freedom Trail. It's a great walking city and the train/subway goes everywhere.

Sue, what a wonderful idea! If I can meet up with you girls, I certainly would LOVE to. If you come to the Chicago area, I can meet you anytime. Otherwise, summer is the best time for us to travel, as the kids are off from school. Probably some nearby state that's close to drive to would be best for us - Wisconsin Dells, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, maybe even Kentucky or Tennessee, or Branson, Missouri. We were even talking about visiting Minnesota this summer to see the mall of America... just a few ideas.

I think it'd be great fun. Ummmm, let's see...don't really have a preference for location except to say I DON'T FLY so that could be limiting for me and as far as arrangements go, let's see...I don't eat seafood. Yeah. I guess that's about it. lol

Let me know how this goes. And you're not getting a Christmas card from your beloved friend Kari because you haven't sent your beloved friend Kari your address. I'm just saying....

Oh Sue! I LOVE this idea! I would definitely be in. I am open to just about anywhere. Maybe in the Spring? Winter is sometimes difficult for traveling for those of us in snow country!

Sounds like an interesting idea- it would have to be fun with us all there! But where and when? Will we need a football stadium? Grand hotel on Mackinac Island is always kind of fun or Napa Valley is also pretty- neither is cheap though.

What a great idea...where ever you decide to do it, I would need way advance notice because it's costly to travel....so I vote for someplace beautiful, yet afforadable. :o)
Can I get your address again? I'm working on Christmas card labels and I can't find it.

What a terrific idea!
A "Susie Q" get together.

How about Southern California? I'll arrange for the beaches and sunshine, you bring the sandwiches and drinks.

Think about it! Great idea, huh?!
