Just An Ordinary Spring Evening Here On Planet Tatooie...

So Grace says, "Darth? Honey? We need to talk. Why don't you give all this dark clothing a rest. It is Spring! Lighten up a little big guy. Try some pastels...pink would go so well with your eyes!" Tonight's event at the Philharmonic was "Heroes and Villains : A Tribute To John Williams" Of course, no tribute to Mr. JW would be complete without a rousing send up of the score from "Star Wars". At least that is what the little boy fidgeting in the seat next to me said just before his Mother told him to hush and leave the grouchy old lady alone. Of course there were a few stormtroopers, one Lord Vader brandishing a light saber but not one Indiana Jones or Han Solo in the bunch. Dang. The music was amazing, as always. Grace got tired and fell asleep, as always. But Mom and I loved it. More tomorrow....must run. I need to check the hoses & pistons on the Millennium Falcon.
Hugs,
Susie Q

I just never was a Star Wars fan. However, I'm terribly outnumbered here in my household, as it seems there is a marathon going on of all those movies right now. Geek Boy rented them, and he and Darling are busy watching. I just don't get it...

Wow- I should have taken Tyler there. He is a HUGE Star Wars fan. Now I don't think he would have liked sitting through the other music :)

Love the pic of Gracie and the Storm Troopers. I will show it to Tyler and I guarantee his mouth will open wide and he will look in amazement.

Take care,
Love,
Terri

Sounds like a perfect evening--except for the lack of Indiana, of course!

I'm a fan, but I don't think I've ever seen a close up of their .. hmm... their.. well, their weird costumes. Kind of scares me. Ha.

Hello, I am blog hopping. I am glad that I came across your very warm and friendly site. We are huge Stars Wars fans in our family. I remember taking our sons at 3 and 6 to see the first movie. They are now 33 and 36 and married. Can that be right? The first movie came out 30 years ago? Our family has enjoyed each of the following releases even the more recent versions.

I bet it was BRILLIANT. We skipped going due to my son's birthday (a good excuse).
