Favorite Fun Foto Friday

Deborah had the cutest picture posted on her blog with a fun idea as well! Post a favorite photo Friday! I had already posted my 4th of July best wishes post for Friday but had to pop back in and post a photo that still tickles me as much now as it did the first time I saw it! Bill was on his first Navy cruise aboard the USS America. It was the very early 80s and the ship ported in Africa. Bill and several of his squadron buddies headed into Kenya to Masai Mara. Masai Mara is a National Reserve administered by the Masai people of Narok. The Masai can use the area and graze their cattle inside the reserve. The villages are found outside the reserve. There the guys embarked on a photographic safari. It was quite a wonderful experience for them all, and Bill, the Anthropology major, was able to get to know many of the Masai. This photo was taken by one of his friends and it always makes me laugh. Who looks more thrilled in this photo? Bill...or the poor tribesman who had to stand there with this goofy American guy? Actually, Bill enjoyed himself immensely during this trip but you sure would not know it from his stiff stance and the expression on his face! Oh the silly captions that we have thought up over the years...some are not even printable on a family friendly blog! *smile* Now, just what captions can YOU create hmmmm?

I love Fun Foto Friday!!! What a great idea. We should all do this every Friday. You've started a new blog tradition!!!

Adore the picture of Bill.

The first thing that popped into my mind for a caption was "Livingston, I presume"!!!

Happy 4th of July to you and your loved ones, dear Sue! I hope you're having a fabulous day celebrating:-) I wish I could cross the border today to get in on the fun! hehe

What a wonderful experience it must have been for Bill to interact with the Masai people...we live in the same century and yet there are so many tribes who still have no concept of modern technology:-) As for Bill's pose and facial expression..."Don't let them touch me or they'll put one of those dresses on me"!! hehe xoxox

Hi Susie Q,
First, I am feeling bad because I can't seem to get around quick enough to catch all of your wonderful posts. But I do always go back and read them all!

LOVE Limoncello....discovered it in Italy this past spring. We keep ours in the freezer...it doesn't freeze, but keeps it at the perfect temp...

Happy 4th! I am still looking at my lovely plates and planning some wonderful piece for them...thanks again!

The idea of Fun Foto Friday is a great one.. . . . Your hubby's photo would certainly rank up there as a winner! The squirrel picture was pretty special, too. Have a wonderful Independence Day!

I'm thinking the caption might say "Darn, I'm over dressed!" or "I'm not wearing a dress no matter what you say!". LOL

Hope your 4th was nice. Ours sure was!

Hugs!

Very cute photo! For a caption the first thing that came to mind for me was, "Darn, I forgot to take Beano before I ate that huge burrito this afternoon!"

What a SUPER fun picture!!! I bet Bill is glad you posted that :-).

I've missed you! I have been SUCH a slacker in the blog reading department. Please forgive me. Seems like I'd have more time to post and read blogs during the summer, huh?...not so much! :-)

Love ya bunches and miss you too. Glad to see everyone is well. Take care my friend...I'll try and do better about keeping up with everyone.

Hope you had a great 4th!
