Several dear friends asked about Limoncello...here is the Wikopedia explanation: Limoncello lemon liqueur produced in Southern Italy, mainly in the region around the Gulf of Naples, the Sorrentine Peninsula and the coast of Amalfi and islands of Procida, Ischia and Capri, but also in Sicily, Sardinia, Menton in France and the Maltese island of Gozo. It is made from lemon rinds, alcohol, water, and sugar. It is bright yellow in color, sweet and lemony, but not sour since it contains no lemon juice. But it IS good...especially as a flavoring on fruit. I know some do not drink at all, so this may not work for them. Susie Q, a lady who has never been drunk in all her life (and really, who would wish to see me if I was huh? I am quite dizzy enough sober thank you very much!), does like a teensy bit of Limoncello (or a frozen margarita!) from time to time. *smile* I am still trying to do all my visiting and being so slow at it. For this I apologize...just the bits and bobs of life keeping us busy. Grace and I worked so hard in the yard...it is all neat and orderly now with some new perennials planted. Some volunteer work that needed to be done, meetings to attend, housework, time with Mom and Boo and that ever present Mt. Laundry to conquer. There have been lovely times with Grace and Dan, Mom and Bill. Sweet moments with friends...a cook out and lunches out with dear friends to celebrate birthdays and wonderful accomplishments. Grace, Dan and I had a little picnic that was a spur of the moment event but a great way to spend a little time on a pretty day. Good movies made us smile...Wall-E and Kit Kitteridge: An American Girl were both fun and sweet. My Mom really loved Kit. The memories it evoked for her were lovingly shared with Grace and it made for a precious conversation. Tomorrow will be shared with our friends J & B who are here from Tennessee. In the evening we will head to my brother's for fireworks. You can see one of the local displays from the comfort of their front porch rockers! Saturday we head to a local country club for an outdoor wedding! One of my best friend's handsome and amazing son is marrying his sweet and lovely girlfriend of 5 years. They are a super young couple. Grace adores them both so she is very excited about this, bound to be beautiful, wedding! Me too. The weather has been just lovely of late so I do hope the day will be bright and clear for this precious couple. The following Thursday we all head to Minneapolis for another wedding. The son of a couple we were stationed with in Illinois is marrying his long time girlfriend and Dan will be an usher. Mom is going up with us and will stay with one of her best friends just outside of Minneapolis. Mom and Kathleen have been friends since they were in elementary school. I will pop around to visit you all before we leave I promise! Oh, and Kipper wanted me to remind you all that Monday is Ritter's Dog Nite! We will be there come rain, snow or swarms of locust!
I wish you all a sweet, smile filled weekend and for those here in the US, enjoy your 4th of July and stay safe.

What an adorable picture! Happy 4th! I have wanted to try Limoncello for a long time and keep forgetting to get some. I'm going to go write it down right now. Maybe with a little of it I can face my own Mt. Laundry.
Happy July 4th

Just hopping by for some catching up and to wish you and yours a happy 4th! Interesting read about Diana's brother (scab that he is) and Colleen. Hmmmm...I shall say she is a few fries short of a happy meal!!!
love,
Becky
I want a Yankee Doodle Squirrel! My squirrel came to visit me today and brought a friend--or maybe it was her daughter. Mommy squirrel will come when I call her, but baby squirrel took a lot of coaxing. Peanuts are very tempting...
You've got some schedule! I hope you have a great summer and that you try to relax, at least a little!
Bob makes a mean limoncello... we all love it and keep it in the freezer at all times!
You are a busy one!
Have a happy 4th of July weekend!
Hugs,
Donna
