A Morning With Thomas And The Gang

I love Lebanon, Ohio. It is one of my favorite places to walk and window shop and, well, just plain shop till I drop. There are great old restored buildings and homes, antique shops by the gazillion, the stunning & historic Golden Lamb Hotel and Restaurant where so many US Presidents and oh so many authors slept. In the Fall it is especially lovely...it's tree lined streets awash with multi colored leaves. The, pretty in any season, window displays are now ablaze in oranges and filled to the brim with decor of the season. If any of you are ever in the area, please stay with us and we will go to Lebanon. I promise you will love it! But this morning we were in Lebanon for a very different reason. We were there to see one of my nephew Brady's best friends...Thomas the Tank Engine...and take a ride with him.
This is the face of a little guy who was just overwhelmed to see Thomas in person! Come on Mommy! Hurry! We have to say hello! He came all the way from the Island of Sodor to see me! Greetings Sir Topham Hat. It is lovely to meet you! A pretty girl on the train... Warnings always sound better in French...oui oui! All aboard!

Well how sweet was that! And I want to go shopping there! Ah heck, I want to go shopping ANYWHERE! I'm fairly easy that way. But THERE looks and sounds especially cool. "Cool" being the operative word right now. lol Has it cooled off any at all where you're at? We're expecting a cold front to come thru tomorrow. Yeah, it's only supposed to get to the mid-80's. Who ever would have thought I'd be happy to hear that? It's even supposed to get down to the upper 60's tomorrow night. I may sleep outside!

What fun! Tony used to love Thomas the Tank when he was little, too. Brady looks like he's having a great time.
And I love the pictures! Did you use a special effect with some of your pictures there? It looks like a few of them are half color, half black and white (the ones with the conductor). I love that!

I can't even begin to imagine how excited AM would be to meet Thomas. She was befuddled a couple of years ago when she realized that the trains that go through our town don't have faces!
