The Wild Gourd Studio

Every November we look forward to visiting Cynthia McDonald's Wild Gourd Studio near Yellow Springs, Ohio. Her one of a kind art work is so beautiful, so full of rich heritage and meaning. It is always such a joy to be there, to listen to the wonderful and unique sounds of the Native American musicians, share some mulled cider and warmth and friendly conversation.

And we always make special friends with the animals that live there...

I wanted to share some of this day with all of you...it is always a joy.

I hope all of you are well and enjoying this special time of year!

A special wish to Sally S...Happy Birthday
to you dear friend! I hope your day was sweet and that this year brings you many joys!

Love and Hugs,
Susie Q

Happy belated Birthday sweet Susie Q! I love you more than my luggage and I feel awful that I missed it. I hope it was wonderful :)

I'll have to visit that studio! What a whimsical place!!

I'm off to catch up with you, although I did look down the line and see that you've been spending a lot of time with crazy Sue ;) I'm glad you girls have so much fun together. Hopefully I'll be able to join in soon.

love you,
rue

What a special treat to see a very special wish for me on your blog. It was a great weekend - shopping, church, then snowed in on Sunday afternoon. Hope you are recovered from the nasty flu-bug. Thanks for coming by - it's always such fun to hear from you. Take care, Sally

I love gourds of all variations. I have a gourd birdhouse that I found at a craft fair all prettily painted like a house. If I had the knack of painting, I would love to paint gourds. Gorgeous photos here!

Sounds like a wonderful day! There is a little place near me where a lady paints guords and makes them into bird houses (mostly decorative). They are so unique and cute! I envy those people with talent! Have a great weekend. ((Hugs))
