Sadness

It is with such immense sadness that I humbly request prayers for dear Becky at Sweet Cottage Dreams. Yesterday she and her husband lost their oldest son Jordan. My heart is broken for this sweet lady. Anyone who has been blessed to know Becky has been blessed by her generosity, her talents, her warm heart and touched by the great love she has for her family. To lose a child is unimaginable. If you can do so, please leave a message of love for Becky at her blog. Just click on the link in red.
Recently a very special friend from High School days lost her only daughter. Sweet Melissa's fight with cancer was a brave and inspiring one and all who knew her feel so blessed to have had their lives brightened by her smile.
Any parent, no, *any* woman, any man who has ever dearly loved a child can only imagine the pain that these two dear families now face. May God be with them and hold them close. May His presence bring them comfort and ease their great pain.

Such a terrible thing. I put a button on my sidebar yesterday for prayers for the family. You are welcome to come over, take it, add to your sidebar and pass it out to everyone you meet. The more prayers for them, the more comfort...

I think losing a child might be the single most difficult thing a parent could face. I lost my brother when he was three. It took my parents YEARS to recover. I don't think my dad ever did.

I heard about this yesterday and left a note at Lallee's.

My thoughts and prayers are with Becky and her family.

My sister lost her son, when he was 21 years old and my daughter lost her son when he was 2 hours old. It's the most heartbreaking thing to happen to a mother/parents, when they lose a child, at any age.

I read about this on Miss Jeans and left a message for Becky. I can not even comprehend the grief they're feeling right now and my prayers are with them.

That is such sad news indeed. I will go visit Becky's blog and leave her a few words. I've always said that a parent should never have to experience losing a child. My prayers are with your High School friend as well. xoxo

This is heart wrenching news. I can't fathom losing a child. My heart goes out to the families and friends of both. Thank you for letting us all know. My prayers go out to you as well. My daughter had lost her best friend at 15. That was so hard. Blessings to you Dear Sweet Sue.

Have you seen the post she wrote talking about it yet? I was hysterical crying by the end of it and wrote some ridiculous thing to her, but I could barely see through my tears...

I'm so sorry about your friend's daughter. To lose a child has to be the worst pain felt by any parent.
