On Sunday we attended the annual Boar's Head & Yule Log Festival at Grace United Methodist Church in Dayton. It is such a lovely event filled with sweet music and happy participants. Just the perfect thing to do on a cold Sunday afternoon during the holidays.
This is the church where my parents were married in 1953 and Bill and I were married here in 1978. It is a beautiful Tudor style church and means so much to me as you can imagine.
Although we attend services at another church closer to us, it is a joy to return, especially at this time of year, to the church of my childhood.
I do hope your week is going well...egads! I have so much to do! Better get off of my ample rump and get to it! Cards to write, a tree to finish decorating, Grace's room to finishing painting, presents to wrap...See you soon!

What a fantastic church! I have often thought I would love to go on a tour of old churches...as long as I was free to explore all the nooks and crannies that no-one else sees!
What gorgeous pictures you have been sharing with us. These are absolutely beautiful. When I was younger, some friends and I checked out some older churches in Boston and they were nice enough to let us explore. The churches around here are all new and nothing compare to the older Cathedrals up north.

What an awesome church! We were fortunate enough to see some churches in Germany when my hubby was sent there. I agree with Kathleen, it would be exciting to take a tour of dirreny churces.

I remember your post of this program last year and found it so intriguing. The costumes are marvelous! The music must have been wonderful! I would love to see it sometime.
