And So The Week Begins...

Hi there all you sweet, oh so dear people...gosh but I think you all are so special. I often think how lucky I am to have had the privilege of getting to know each of you over the last 2 years. And, how wonderful
it is to meet so many new blogging friends recently. What a blessing you all are to me.
The way I added pictures in the last post might have been a bit confusing to many of you! The farm images are from our Sunday afternoon...part of the last weekend before school begins. I should have specified that! I also failed to mention that the little boy at the pool was my nephew Brady (Or my Boo as I call him!) and Grace is pictured with her BFF, the adorable Miss K. That would have been helpful to any new readers! D'uh Susie Q!
Today was a fun day for Grace. Her beloved "Aunt" M, one of my dearest friends in the world, took her out for a *Girl's Day Out*. They shopped till they dropped, had lunch and well,
enjoyed a lot of girlie talk. Oh how Grace adores M. We all do!
I got many errands done, grabbed a quick lunch with my Mom and then picked up Grace for her late afternoon tutoring session. This was her last one for the Summer and what a delight it was for all of us to get to know Mrs. B. Grace loved being with her and really dug right in worked hard at her reading. Mrs. B teaches 4th grade at the same school where my buddy T is a 5th grade educator. She was fantastic for Grace and has helped rekindle a love of reading in our girl. Mrs. B always met us at Mom's as that was easier for her...a sort of *halfway* point between her home and ours.
Bill and Dan arrived just as the session ended and we all had a delicious dinner that Mom prepared. Isn't fresh sweet corn one of this season's most yummy delights? Add in some juicy tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, fresh half runner green beans and baby. Wow. You've got yourself a great meal!
Tomorrow Grace and I are having lunch, just the two of us. She gets to pick the spot so we will see where we end up!
Thank you for all your sweet wishes to Grace on her upcoming school year. I think she is really getting excited about it all. That is always a good thing right? *smile*
I hope your Tuesday is a good one...be good to yourselves!
Love and Hugs,
Susie Q

Hi Sue, good luck to Grace on the upcoming school year! I, too, dread the kids going back; I love having them home with me and spending time with them. I'm going to miss them when they're gone. And I know they're going to miss being home!! lol

Sweet corn, ah!
And green beans. With garlic. Yum!

Best wishes to Grace as school starts up again. Today is day 1 for my boys and though I enjoyed being home with them this summer, the quiet is rather nice, I'll admit!

I hope y'all enjoy the last summer moments before the flurry of activity starts!

Sounds like your summer is as busy as ours. Grace is growing into such a beauty! I hope she has a great school year. Can't believe it's almost that time already. Take care, Stephanie

Hmm. I wonder if there is a tutor to teach kids not to talk to themselves in class? That's one education we're desperately in need of right now!

Hi Susie, It's hard to believe summer is almost over. Here's wishing your family all the best this next year.

I'm having another drawing giveaway and thought I'd let you know if you would be interested this time around. Come on over to see the details if you are interested.

Great family, great friends, great food, great blog buddies ... summer's all about the good stuff!

Glad your summer was wonderful.

And I am SO dang excited to post my blog award on my blog. Woo hoooo! THANK YOU! I L.O.V.E. IT!

Just wanted to let you know: I was scarce this summer. Spent lots of time with the kids, just hanging out, spent a little more time dealing with financial troubles that we are in (it's pretty bad right now) and unfortunately there has been discord at my house probably due to the financial strain ... just not a good summer in that respect ... so I didn't do much visiting and I feel terrible about being so lax. But I forgive myself because I know you forgive me. You're a mom. You understand this kind of stuff. I just wanted to make sure you knew that "Wendy doesn't visit much this summer" doesn't equal "Wendy is upset that I haven't mailed her package yet."

Just know that I ADORE you AND your blog and I have no worries about that package. I am sure it was worrying you, but it wasn't worrying me at all. We moms get busy during the summer when our kids are home.

OK. I am rambling. Just wanted to stop in and say that I love ya!
