My Battle Cry: Imminent Autumn

Say THAT 14 times fast...go on, say it! You can do it....yeah yeah, I kept saying M & Ms too but then they are such delicious candies. Hm? Stay on topic Susie...okay! Gee you are tough taskmasters.... Okay now ladies and gentlemen. I have decided that I was just wrong to even discuss this bit of unease publicly. Phooey on me. I gave 3 nasty noodles some press. Bad Susie, bad Susie. So, here is my new decree...no more rotten talk. I was waylaid from the more important things in life...decorating, Autumn's imminent arrival, Brian Dennehy and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Gee whizzers. So, in an effort to apologize to you all for taking a detour from these topics, I offer this:
Uh huh. Breath deeply...smell that air? So crisp, so sweet. Yup. Autumn is approaching...

The nights are getting chilly now, a light sweater feels so cozy. Each new day brings with it a challenge to find just the right words to describe it. Farm fields and the trees of each park, and those that line the boulevard, are changing before our eyes. Autumn is on our doorstep.

Well, sweet Susie, it has been so hot here, but today we had a little forgiveness in our air as it only made it to 90. It IS cool here tonight...a little light breeze and perfect for cracking the window and turning off the AC. So hopefully we will be getting some cool fall weather like you.

Enjoy...

I loved the fall pictures. Makes me miss home (New England). Been in Florida 30 years but I still miss my seasons. Thanks so much for sharing. And thank you for your kind words about my Miss Piggy.

I love the fall photos. It's 53 degrees, here in MO, this morning. I am loving it!

Autumn is a beautiful season! Your pictures are beautiful too. The temperatures are to drop tonight. It will soon be time to bring in the plants for protection. Boo! Hoo!

hi, it's me again. i had to go back to see what the fuss was about because being urged to vote didn't seem like it was cause for a problem. turns out it wasn't. so, i'm really sorry that you had a bad experience b/c you shared a spoof. everyone needs a deep cleansing breath. one from your lovely crisp fall days. in goes the good air and out goes the angst etc. jkj

First of all, this post -- glorious! We aren't that far along here, and I confess, I don't want to be quite yet! Lovely!

I've missed blog reading for a few days and catching up on yours -- wow -- sounds like you've been put through the ringer. Well, as the person who put factcheck.org on her non-political blog (and heard about it -- Factcheck controversial?) I can feel your pain. And I don't think you are un-anything! Just great! (And I adore the Pythons, too -- personally, I'm beginning to think we might be better off with Michael! At least we'd have fun!)

Screw this "not getting into the bad stuff"!!! I wanted details, lurid, bloody details. LOL If you ask me, you should have printed their comments in giant big bold letters so we could all get a firm grasp of just how narrow-minded, bigoted and opinionated those jackasses truly are. But, since you didn't print the evidence for me to see for myself...I guess I'll have to take your word for it. LOL Dumb weinies.

I am going to be posting a political post soon, but that's because I feel the need to do it. Freedom of speech. It's part of the greatness of our country. I respect your choice NOT to post about it and, even if we have/had totally different political opinions, it wouldn't change how I feel about you personally. Variety is the spice of life, after all. And the fact that we can disagree is what makes America GREAT!!!

Now onto Autumn...keep talking about that wonderful cooler weather you're having. I love to hear about it (still 90 plus here in Texas). Randey hasn't heard anything on that job...it's getting hard to function, what with my fingers, toes and eyes crossed so firmly. LOL

Keep blogging about what YOU want to blog about, Sue. It's what makes your blog fun to read!

It is getting cooler here, but we have a few more weeks to go before full-on fall. And then it will be winter like the next day!
