Like Call For Help Dudes!

Hey there...it's me, your buddy Kipper. I'm sure you all missed seein' me the first of the month didn't you dudes? Yup, I knew it. You all remembered Ritter's Dog Nite right? Well, gee whizzies dudes, my humans forgot. Like really dudes! They F.O.R.G.O.T. Oh yeah and all that. They say it was because my Mom was babysittin' my cousin Boo and my dad had to work some late some nights and school had just started for sissy Grace and bro Dan and some other things that do not like have a thing to do with me, the Kipper. I say to them, "You humans gots issues? Here's some tissues!" My old man was not amused. But I think that my monthly Dog Nites at Ritter's should be like respected don't you dudes? I just have no idea how Ritter's pulled off their September Dog Nite dudes. It musta been one huge bust of a dog nite for sure. Dudes I mean, the Kip was not in attendance. THE KIP WAS NOT THERE! I can only imagine the girls wailin' and the guys cussin' and oh what a scene it musta been. Dogs layin' all over with their tongues hangin' out and slobberin...okay, so they do that anyway but just imagine...The phone rings around this house every day so I can only assume it is my dog friends callin' and demandin' I come to the next one. Or it could be Ritter's callin' and demandin' that I be there or they will go outta business. Not that anyone here ever lets' me answer the phone or nuthin'. Sheesh. Just 'cause I am short and have no opposable thumbs. I get like so dissed 'round here dudes. My humans keep sayin' they are like so sorry (I so KNOW you are sorry you sorry humans you) They say they will make it up to me. They even took me over to the Dairy Queen for some ice cream. Like THAT was gonna work? Okay, so I scarfed down the frozen stuff and it was good and all but hey. There was not like one dog there to party wiff or nuthin'. Just made me like sad you know dudes? So, I am like askin' you all to help a poor, sad, mistreated doggie dudes. Call your senator dudes and congressman dudes. I don't have any idea what a senator or a congressman is but I heard that once on TV so it must be helpful. Or call the President, he has a dog. How about callin' that Brian Dennehy dude. I hear he likes dogs and he is pretty tough right? Or maybe that Queen in England. I saw a picture my Mom has and that Queen lady has loads of dogs so she would probably help a poor little guy like me out huh? I would like SO do this for all of you dudes. *sniff*

Royal Treasures?

Well, treasure is totally subjective. To some, these are nothing more than insignificant dust catchers. To me, they are treasures. Some were gifts from friends, some we picked up in little shops around the world. Yes, even in China! None of these cost much but that is one of the things that delights me! Many of you asked for a closer view of this collection (when I posted about the corner cabinet where they now reside!) so I am finally providing one. Now, aren't you glad you asked? No? Hmm...well, here it is anyway! There are many more things than shown in these photos but I love you all far too much to bore you any further!

A Proper Tea

M'lady welcomes her guests to a veddy, veddy proper afternoon tea...

All the best people were there.....Lady Grace of Disneyville at Sewingopolis who grandly entertained while wearing her well used ballet slippers and Minnie Mouse gloves. Ever the fashion trendsetter, she designed the ensemble herself. We feel that both will soon be the rage among our youth whom live only to emulate their beloved Lady Grace.

The Grand Duchess Olivia of Wrightsfly Unicornocopia who, while
looking ever so splendid in blue silk, was unable to speak due to a rather nasty case of laryngitis.
Earl Kipper McGee of Kempcadia...the flamboyant eldest son of Dame Ednanny Liverspot was quite the entertaining fellow. After dining on cheese cubes and animal crackers, The Earl, 276th in line for the throne, belched loudly to the shock and delight of all. ...and the strange, but deeply sensitive, Royal Princess Gardenia Von Sillibean, who was dressed in the most deliciously decadent lemon chenille gown...
M'lady set a lovely table...bananas, cherries, tangerine slices, fresh squeezed orange juice, pretzels, animal crackers, chocolate squares, cheese cubes and Lady Grey tea.
Perhaps you, dear readers, will receive one of the coveted invitations to the next gathering. One can dream...

Take A Note Coleen...

~On this day in British Royal history~
King Henry marries 4th wife, Anne of Cleves.
Anne of Cleves was Henry VIII's fourth wife, whom Henry found physically unattractive, calling her a "Flanders Mare." They married on January 6, 1540, but Henry decided to annul the marriage soon after. Queen Anne wisely cooperated, testifying that their marriage had never been consummated. The Earl of Essex, however, who had arranged the marriage, fell out of favor with the king and was beheaded on July 28, 1540.
Anne kept her head unlike Henry's 5th wife, Catherine of Aragon, whom the King DID find physically attractive. Is there a moral to this story? Hm.......

British Royalty

These were amazing presents from our dear friends T and J. We
had lunch with them on New Year's Eve. We had so much
fun catching up and laughing. We met at one of our
favorite restaurants, The Chop House. Great food and
great conversation is just the best combo isn't it? Well,
T knows me so well! She had
been looking for British Royalty items for awhile and
gifted me with these treasures!
I have a small collection of British Royal
memorabilia which I love!
I never pay too much for any of it and nothing is probably
worth a whole heck of a lot. But you know? That is the fun
of it and it all means a lot to me. It all started with a Diana and
Charles wedding mug that my wonderful friend in
England sent me years ago....
I know, it seems like a silly thing to collect no? Still,
I have found so many who do. Really!
For some odd reason, I have always found the royal family fascinating. For all their strange proclivity towards unseamly behaviours and serial dysfunction, they are
an interesting lot. Well, perhaps just to me but still...till next time...
Hugs,
Suzie Q
