I must admit I have a thing for old doors. I love to think about how many people
have used them, turned their handles/knobs and passed through their
shadows to "come home".

I have one on my back deck that I found on the side of the road.
Grace and I hauled it home and gave it a place of honor complete
with a wreath of pretty red geraniums.

I have yet to do something with it as creative as these folk did...
but what wonderful ideas!

Re-purposing, re using, giving new life to time worn objects!

God enters by a private door
into every individual.
 ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

If a door slams shut it means that God is
pointing to an open door further on down.
Anna Delaney Peale

Happiness is something that comes into our
lives through doors we don’t even
 remember leaving open.
 ~ Rose Wilder Lane

When one door closes, another opens;
but we often look so long and so
regretfully upon the closed door that
we do not see the one which has opened for us.
~Alexander Graham Bell

Let everyone sweep in front of
his own door, and the whole
world will be clean.
~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Ideas can be life-changing.
Sometimes all you need to open
the door is just one more good idea.

Love to you all...hoping your Summer is treating you well!

Be blessed.

Many doors have been opened by blogging and many new friends have entered my life through those doors :)

Love the comment Janet left. I have seen some things posted on FB made with old doors and I just love them. But this blog has so many other awesome ideas. I can't wait to show it to hubby. He's been looking for some old doors ever since seeing some of the ones on FB. Thanks for sharing all these wonderful pictures and sayings.

Hi Sue
I love all the door ideas you've found--the garden arbor was one of my favorites!

Thank you for your all sweet comments on my blog posts about my daughter's wedding! It was a magical day for all of us, and we were so happy to see her marry the love of her life.
