Spaß haben!

Willkommen!

Our family spent most of Monday in the German Village of Columbus, Ohio.

The German Village is a historic neighborhood just south of
downtown Columbus. It was settled by a large number of German immigrants
in the mid 1800s and retains all of it's charm of yesteryear today!

It is always a treat to visit there. So much to see...

The wonderful homes with their lovely courtyards and gardens...

The quaint shops filled with treasures...

The delicious food at the charming restaurants...

All in all, a fine day...right Bill?

Sehr gut!

Hoping that your week is going well and that you are finding lots to smile about!

Love to you all!

This looks like a perfect place to have a great day. Bill obviously enjoyed himself, but I hope he got to enjoy a 'real' cold one after all that walking!

What a neat idea for a get-away! I'd love to live close enough to go there, Susie.

Hi Susie! Oh, what a great little place! I'd love to see it. Love the cute quaintness of the houses and Bill looks just perfect in that spot.:)

Looks like so much fun! My German culture education has been so lacking, even though my grandmother was 100% German. I'm really looking forward to my trip to Germany next year!!!! Your post has spurred me on to start checking out a little bit of the language. It's almost the weekend again, and we are taking our son to the airport for his 2-month trip to Japan. All of this travel anticipation keeps us old folks with it!!! Hope you have another fun weekend planned. Sally

Oh, my gosh, I haven't been to German Village in years! I used to love that place. (My mom lives in Columbus now, but the family was originally from Zanesville.) Looks like you had a wonderful time!

That was such a fun post and I adored all the photos. I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet calm it brought me as we are getting ready for a big gala tonight.

Give hugs to sweet Kipper!

Hello Susie~I've been busy with visiting family. Summer weather may not be upon us, but the summer guests are.
I did take time to sneak out of the kitchen (from time to time) to see what you'd been up to.
It's nice to finally have time to chat....
What a wonderful treat.
You've got the best of both worlds, food and fun surrounded in such a charming ambiance. I would have needed a stroll to work off all the calories I would have consumed, lol.

Come by for a visit, I'll put the kettle on.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
