A Bathroom Re-Doin'

With all the crazy comings and goings (and general life busy-ness) around Rabbit Run Cottage, NOTHING along the decorating line gets done quickly! I wish all the little tweaking I have in my mind would magically just appear in reality...POOF! But gee, that just never seems to happen!  I wanted to share our last tiny makeover...one that was only what...2 years in the making!
Our upstairs bathroom, the one that Grace and Daniel share, just got a few things updated!
We changed the vanity top last year. It's white, marble look Corian. We also changed the faucet then too.

Last week we finally re-painted the room in a nice color called, Irish Blessing! How can you go wrong with a name like that! I have had the light fixture and mirror (Both found at close out sales 2 years ago) in our storage room but now they finally see the light of day! Whoo hoo!

I already had the shelf, assorted decorative items and the towels. The plates all belonged to my Grandmother.

Grace added the little bow to the tissue box! You can justsneak a peek at the white embroidered shower curtain, also something I already had!

The shutters and Secret Garden sign were found on ETSY, last year, and I just love how they add to the cottage garden appeal! You can also just spy the little rose shower curtain hooks...I found them last year and saved them! Like I said, NOTHING decorative is done fast 'round here! next up? We are putting tile floors in this bath and ours too. We found someone who does it well, and inexpensively...and a source for good quality tile at a great prices! We were able to give what we vowed to charity and still had enough to begin this work. That made me so happy!

Things do eventually get done at Rabbit Run...with eventually being the key word!

I hope your week is going well...it's Spring Break here and we are hopping here and there, this way and that way. Like I said earlier, that general busy-ness in action!
Grace had her braces put on today so she is feeling a little achy and sore. Off to make another milkshake, choose a new movie and cuddle on the sofa. Nothing better to make you feel so good.

Love to you all!

Pass Miss Grace the Tylenol!! Oh those braces hurt at first.

The bathroom redo is darling! I love it! (And I am glad I am not the only one who works verrrry slowly!)

Great about the tile source and the reasonably priced tile person.

Poor Grace and her braces! I work at a middle school, so I often see students right after they get new braces - and also when they get them off! In fact, a local ortho just provided a bbq luncheon for all the staff at our school - because students are out of school so much for appointments. In fact, the ortho has a PR person - imagine that! Lucrative business . . . but I don't have to tell you that, lol!

Enjoy the rest of your spring break!

To Grace, don't worry sweets, the soreness doesn't last and your teeth will look like a movie star:>) Sue, I love the garden theme of your bath! Irish blessing is perfect and the mirror is gorgeous!

Nice new look on your blog Sue...mine had never changed...not a clue how to!! Your bathroom looks lovely and I bet Grace just loves it ( Daniel not so much, lol). Your patience has paid off.

Love the pics! I've been doing some redecorating too - if rearranging things counts. It's fun to shake things up a bit. Have a lovely weekend.

I know how that goes! It takes forever to really get any big project done around here too.

Your bathroom redo is so cute! Cute, cute, cute! Irish Blessing is a great name for paint - it looks like what I have in my kitchen only that's Kiwi I think. Love those shutters and all your cottagey touches!

Love the shutters and love the paint color!!! Makes me want to do something, anything to make a little change somewhere!!

My best friend had braces in school, I always felt bad that she had to deal with all that stuff, but so thankful I didn't have to...

Have a great weekend!

Love it! I want so badly to redo our bathroom, but the lovely "remodeling" job our dogs started on the kitchen floor during their cold-weather stay needs finishing first!

Gorgeous, Sue and I love the color! Those shutters are adorable!

Rick just finished painting my bathroom last weekend, and I finally have it sort of together -- but after seeing yours, I am woefully underwhelmed with mine! Well, back to the drawing board!

your "tiny" makeover somehow brought to mind that story I read when I was a kid...
about the "teeny-tiny" woman and her "teeny-tiny" house. She went for a "teeny-tiny" walk
