Touch Of Red

After listening to my ranting this week I decided you were all owed something pretty. It has snowed here, off and on, for 3 days. Yesterday, as I rounded the corner home, this scene caught my eye. Oh how I wish I had taken my new camera along but my old trusty one was in my purse. I stopped and got a few pictures of Ohio's State bird (and friends) sharing a mid day treat.
How I love the snow! We were all cozy at home last night, having dinner and sharing a giggle or two. Grace had a delay this morning so she and I shared a leisurely breakfast together. The sun is out now, so, so pretty but it is cold. Brrr...I can hear the wind whistle through the trees just outside my kitchen window. Henry and Lucy are curled up in the wing chair, side by side,
without a single hiss or spit. I guess they like the shared warmth!
Kip is at my feet, keeping them nice and toasty. I need to go toss in the first of several loads of laundry and begin my day.
Hmm...well, maybe just one more cup of Earl Grey? How I wish you were all here, sitting 'round my kitchen table...wait. You know? In a way, we all ARE here. That is one of the real joys of this wonderful blogging community.
Have a sweet day, a safe day, a day that sees you smile often. You have such a beautiful smile you know!
Love and Hugs,
Susie Q

What sweet photos, Sue! I went back and read your "rants," and I have to say that I agree with everything you said. I actually rather enjoy House Hunters International, because when they go to Europe, the bathrooms always look the same size as mine! LOL I would LOVE to have a finished basement, and a laundry room, and a two-car garage... but I don't really think I'll ever get any of those (except maybe the laundry)... I can't imagine ever having a cathedral ceiling and a bonus room! LOL I really don't watch HGTV much anymore, nor do I venture onto RMS.

Oh, and I LOVE your British memorabilia!!!
xoxo,
Mary

I love your pictures. I miss seeing the snow like this, but I'm glad to be here in Florida where it's somewhat warm. I wish I were sitting around your table with you too. But you're right, we all do that anyways with our blogs.

Pretty, Susie! I hope you're keeping warm. We don't get snow so I would love to see it just a few times!
Be a sweetie,

What a beautiful red cardinal..you got a great shot of him!

Read your rants..and I agree...WHO is GTV targeting anyway? I miss some of the older shows....,aybe they will figure it out when they see everyone is watching the food network instead!

The bird photos are worthy of being spotlighted on a Christmas card!! You can rant all you want - it is always something that needs to be said. I agree - why would Mom and & Dad fork over $100,000 - they should go on a fabulous trip themselves. About 2 months in Europe should take of that many $$$ these days. Take care, Sally

we don't have cardinals here. I saw them when I visited in Delaware. So jealous.

I love how those pictures turned out. Wonderful winter time pictures! Even if it was with your old camera. Love it!

Rant away dear - the First Amendment encourages it!

I think that if your kids ever mutiny and refuse to be on your Christmas card - not that that would ever happen, of course - that you could use this cardinal photo! It's just gorgeous!
