Holiday Hub Bub...

My nephew Boo shows off the tree at his house! Boo's dog, Casey. Now Casey! Were you in the mud?
Look at that innocent face! Grace and her BFF, Miss K, begin work on the annual gingerbread mansion. Note the Elmer's Glue...when the icing will not hold, Elmer's will! Heck, we weren't gonna eat it anyhoo right?
We hosted Christmas Eve dinner and Boo wanted to watch
one of his DVDs while he waited for Auntie Sue to finish dinner...
Boo's favorite things to watch? A Charlie Brown Christmas! Setting the table...
We always have English Crackers and uh huh. Everyone must put on
the paper crown that comes inside! Isn't that right
King Bill?
My brother contemplating his standing in the royal community....
Princess Grace had the giggles...
...and passed them on to the other members of the royal family.
My beautiful sis in law...
Ah...the Queen Mother telling me, "Off with your head!"
Prince Daniel...do NOT ask me about that knit cap. He hated his haircut...and
yes, I KNOW it is impolite to wear the hat...so does he...but there it was. *sigh* Oh heck, who cares right?
Prince Boo attempted to overthrow his father's crown...a coup ensued...
Grandma and Boo....Boo received the whistle in his cracker. Inside each one
there is always a paper crown, a toy or treat and a paper containing jokes and riddles.
Mom's dog Abby...
Ready for Santa...cookies? Check. Carrots for reindeer? Check. A note? Check.
Note the *Smores* that Grace insisted making for Santa. Graham crackers, chocolate and melted marshmallows...yum. Lucy and Henry lie in wait for the red suited man...
And Christmas day dawned bright and...okay. Not bright! Grace woke us at 5 am. Uh huh. Daddy convinced her to go back to bed for an hour. That lasted 30 minutes and then we gave in!
So the day dawned early, sleepy but happy! Grace with a new AG doll...this one has layered hair and pierced ears! Egads! Kipper wants to see what Santa left in his stocking!
The pink and sparkly jewelry box.
Dan and his new sweatshirt....and that darned cap. *sigh*
Christmas afternoon found all of us at Mom's. Here Boo shows me how to use his new Viewmaster!
Christmas shenanigans...
Uncle Jim found the perfect wall hanging for the newly painted bedroom!
Whatcha got there Boo?
Grace made everyone clay ornaments. This was to represent Mom's dog!
Dan gave Mom and Jim and Lisa beautiful Ohio State cookie
jars filled with delicious cookies!
Abby takes it all in...and hopes one of those cookies has her name on it!
Bye Uncle Jim!
Bye Grandma!
Ah....he DID take off the cap!!
Now doesn't he look so much better? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just a few images of our little family Christmas...I hope
your holiday was also sweet. Wow. It's 2009. The days seem to
fly right by don't they? I noticed that the stores have already
begun their push towards Valentine's Day! Oh my...well, as we take
the last of our decorations down and say goodbye to the year that was, I
send each of you love and happy wishes from all of us at Rabbit Run Cottage.
Love and Hugs,
Susie Q

Looks like you all had a great time!! Where is a picture of you in your crown? Is the queen photo shy? Or does the queen just control the camera? Enjoy the weekend. Sally

What a great way to spend Christmas. Oh the memories you are making. I loved the paper crowns. I'll have to check out the English crackers deal. May have to "steal" that idea for my own Christmas tradition. Have a great weekend.

These are fabulous! Thanks for letting us visit Christmas with your family! I think King Bill has a bit of Brian in his smile! And which is the orange and white kitty? He's so much like my late Stimpy, I had both a smile and a bit of lump when I saw the photo.

Just lovely, Sue. I'm so glad you had a beautiful holiday!

Hi there. Found you via Brittany's blog.

As I was reading I came across the gingerbread house building and when I saw the glue I giggled, my DH thought that was a good idea when we had trouble getting ours to stay together. Glad to see he wasn't alone in that thought, LOL.
