A Prayer For Kipper

...please? Our Kip began to have some problems today and by evening it had worsened. Our vet saw him and diagnosed bladder stones, one of which had lodged in his urethra. Our senior vet, who has done many of these surgeries, was out of town and the younger vets all asked that we take Kip to the emergency vet hospital in Cincinnati where he could be seen by a vet surgeon experienced in these types of lodged stones.
You can guess we were in a whirlwind for several hours and so sad to have to leave Kipper there. They will keep him comfortable tonight and probably do surgery in the morning. I have faith he will be fine but still so sad and anxious about our boy. I may seem silly to ask for prayers for him but those of you who share, or have shared, the sweet love of a pet, know this plea.
Kip just cried and cried when we left...that broke our hearts and many tears were shed on the way home...but I have asked God to keep Kipper safe and believe he will return home to us Saturday evening.
I am sure that one of us will be hopping over to Ritter's so we can bring our sweet little guy a treat...he deserves no less right?

Love and Hugs,
Susie Q

Oh sweet Sue, I am praying to God to keep your sweet little man, Kipper, comfortable and safe tonight. May the doctors take good care of him and cure him of his pain. Little angels are hugging your sweet little man tonight and most likely giving him little scratches on his head to make him feel comfortable while he is away from his sweet family.

love you,
becky

Holding Kipper close in prayer, I'm a dog owner and lover so I know how hard it is to see our babies hurting.

Oh that poor little doggie...
I knew it had to be more than just "waiting to go" if it was anything more serious. He will be ready for his treat when he gets back. Talk soon. love, Sue

I have 5 dogs and 1 cat so I am praying for Kipper. I know what it's like to love a pet like he's your own child. I'm sure a treat from Ritters would be appreciated by your little guy. Keep us posted. HUGS!

Hi Sue, I'm sorry to hear about Kipper and hoping he came out of surgery ok.

I'm glad you came by. Your blog is delightful. I enjoyed learning about the boar's head tradition, and seeing you Christmas decor. I especially liked your kitchen tree.
Your daughter Grace is beautiful. My mom's name is Grace and I think it's such a lovely name. You really don't hear it to often.
Christmas Hugs

Leaving a pet behind is the same as leaving a non-verbal child. I've had to do both, and both stink.

Kipper has been in my prayers since last night, but I was so tired I couldn't type a note. I hope he is doing well today and will be back with his family again soon.
