Easter *Hoppenings*

Uh huh...'round here we were *hopping* like crazy on Easter!

Of course we began the day with church and what a wonderful service it was! Then it was off to a delicious breakfast of omelets and Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes with the family! In the afternoon we all saw "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" at the theater and then we headed to dinner at Yankee Trace Country Club. We began going here for Easter dinner 4 years ago and always enjoy ourselves!
Then, after we stuffed ourselves with prime rib, ham, salmon, stuffed chicken breast, all manner of veggies, salads and chocolate cheesecake, it was back to Mom's. We all played outside, walked the dogs and just enjoyed the cool breeze and sunshine.

An uplifting church service, delicious food, chocolate bunnies, smiling kids, a fun movie, family and sunshine...now that is a perfect Easter day!

I hope yours was truly sweet...

Boo got a book about ICarly, his favorite show! He was so happy!
Look Mommy! I LOVE Carly!

Look at that smile! Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes Mom! That is way cool!

That was fun Grandma!

My pretty girl all dressed up for Easter!

Do you think Bill is proud?

2 of my favorite young ladies!

Come on Daddy! Let's go play!

No kissin'! I want to play!

Aw gee Grandma! More smoochin'?

Now you are talkin'! Football!

I caught it! I caught it!

Kick off those high heels and get into the action!

Grace's favorite surprise from her Easter basket...a Zhou Zhou Hamster...

We got Mom a pretty pot of lillies but even MORE beautiful were
these paper posies Grace made for her! Grace even decorated the vase!

Spring is blossoming everywhere in Ohio!

I hope your Easter was meaningful, sweet and filled with smiles.

Love to you all.

Life's A Beach

Doesn't that sunshine feel good sweetie?

Uh huh...we are here...walking the beaches of Fort Walton and Destin. Bill is in Florida for a conference so we tagged along. Yes, Grace has her school's approval! I swear! She does classroom work all morning
and then, in the afternoon we play.

We take long walks on the beach...
...and chat with the locals. Right local?? RIGHT? Okay, so he t'ain't talkin'...

And we eat delicious seafood...oh were these crab cakes yummy!

Then we sit and watch the sun go down...wow.

A little get away every now and then is good...and we are sure enjoying it.

I have internet service in our room but it is slooooooow. I may not be able to get around to visit much this week but will when we return. I think about all of you often...and send each one of you
 much love and many hugs.

Sweet Primroses...

...in my kitchen window, catching the last few rays of the warm, afternoon sun.
Have a sweet Friday and be good to yourself.

Winter Light

I dropped my nephew off at his baby sitter's home and decided to take a little drive and enjoy the Winter sunshine. We are lucky to have several city/township owned parks near us and all are quite lovely in any season. Winter does have it's own beauty and today the light was so bright, so welcoming. It happily bounced off the brilliant white snow and reflected a magical frosty world. The skies were a crystal blue, a welcome treat after a week of dingy gray. Take a little drive with me... I hope your Thursday is a good one. I am still making my journey around blog world and will see you soon! Take care, remember how special you really are and smile! You look gorgeous when you smile!

Weekend Wackiness

All I needed to begin recuperation this weekend was some good old fashioned sunshine and children's laughter!
We rounded up Mom, my nephew Boo, Grace's best friend Miss M and Grace, and we headed off to Cox Arboretum, not too far from our house. The sky was blue, the sun warm, the kids happy. Not a bad day huh?
I hope that your weekend was a sweet one.
