A gloomy day weather wise but cheery where it counts...in our hearts. We attended church this morning, had lunch at a favorite restaurant and then all of us did a little shopping at Grace's favorite store, Target. When we returned to our car, after putting quite a dent in Bill's wallet (Hey, NYC is looming and girls need to be properly tuned eh?), a new friend was sitting next to us! Now, Grace and I LOVE VW Bugs...we are tag teaming Daddy trying to convince him that we NEED one in which to toodle around town...but I digress...now where was I? Oh yeah, this adorable lime green VW Bug was in the spot next to us. Inside, the car was decked out in Dalmatian print seat covers, a Dalmatian print steering wheel cover and, oh yeah, a Dalmatian! Now does this guy have a sweet mug or what? He posed quite regally for my camera and then stuck his nose out of the window so we could all give it a scratch. A day is always a little brighter when you make a new friend isn't it?
Wishing you all a sweet week...remember to smile at the little things that we all usually take for granted....reading the morning newspaper, a good cup of tea or coffee, a chat with a friend, a glorious sunset, a warm breeze, daffodils blooming in a neighbor's yard, a child's laughter...
Hugs,
Susie Q
Dear Missy...I WAS thinking about your Wyatt when I wrote this post...

Just wanted to say a quick hello ... I'm finally getting a chance to catch up on my blog reading after being away for a week! When I saw the picture of the dalmatian with the red collar it SO reminded me of our dear sweet (departed) Wyatt. Can't wait to get caught up on your blog!
Cute picture! I so want a vw too. but I can't convince the hubby..
I adore VW bugs but the vintage ones, although the newer ones are quite cute and some even have a flower vase attached to the dash.
Look at the good looking fella! You're right about paying attention to the little things, some of the most amazing things are the simplest.
when is NY again? You're seeing your second love while there aren't you? Meaning Brian. When I think NY the first thing that comes to mind is comfortable shoes...I went 3 years in a row and wow, walking - walking - walking does a number to the ole dogs. lol!
Sending you love and light (and hugs for Grace)
Lisa
XOXO
When I was in high school I wanted a bug. I tried to drive one once and it was a disaster.
Glad you all had fun at Target.
Hope to see you all soon.
LOve,
Terri
I laughed when you said Grace's favorite store was Target. My sister in law calls it Tar Jay to make it sound a bit more fou fou!!
It's my go to store!!
Glad you had a good day, and are counting your blessings!!
xoxo
How sweet! Somebody is really crazy about Dalmations! I loved the end of your post--to smile at all the little things we take for granted. It always makes your day brighter when you do and smooths over some of the bumps you are bound to encounter!
we went for a walk up mill creek --- and there was some kind of horse competition going on out in the brushes and brambles. Along came a young fellow all decked out in suede leather fringed cowboy clothes, his horse and his dog. We stepped off the path, and his dog came over and totally slobbered all over us. What a messy friend he turned out to be.
No VW's around, but I saw a lot of bugs.
As a girl at my daycare used to say - A Dotty Dog!
How many of us would find such a cute sight, parked next to us, in a department store parking lot? :-)
You are so sweet, my Dear. That's why you seem to draw nice happenings to you.

What a cute picture!!! Do you take your camera EVERYwhere you go? I need to start doing that....
Love this picture and it did make me think of Missy and her sweet Wyatt.
I work with a girl that drives a WV Bug and it's so cute. She has a sunflower in the little holder in her car.
That's adorable--well worth capturing the picture.
How cute is that picture!? I love that dalmation!
