She tells me that her name is Francine and she allowed me to take a photo to share with all of you....in honor of Earth Day. Please be kind to all those creatures who share our Earth and have no voice to ask for help. They too need place to live, to raise their young, to grow and thrive and survive. If we lose them, we lose. Period.
Hugs to you all, Susie Q

Aw! On Earth Day, which was Sunday we took a drive to the Delaware River. On the rocks sat an injured duck. It's wing was broken. And I got a great photo of it but Blogger wouldn't allow me to upload it.
Please let me know the EXACT day and date on the NY meeting :)
I hear you Sue..
We are over run with rabbits at the moment, and while some people
;o)
mentioniong no names of course..! wouldn't consider it a problem, they are dining out on my garden.
I try to tell myself that the bunnies were here long before the houses were built, so we are the squatters, and I let them be.
Hugs

Beautiful words and photo. Happy Earth Day.
I work for a Wetlands Conservation company and I love what you did with the photo and the words. We cannot do enough to preserve our wildlife, wetlands, and the beauty of this earth...Well done...
Beautiful picture! Just found your blog :)

Very nice of Fancine to allow a picture!!
How precious! We have a duck pond in our subdivision..& it angers me when people don't slow down when the ducks cross the street! I guess..you know what happens..it it just terrible to see them laying there in the street.
{Everyday} should be *Earth Day*.
I forgot about Earth Day. It is so important!! Dah on me. Most people do not understand our buddy Veronica the squirrel. She comes when you call her and although she is cautious, she loves eating peanuts in the shell.
PS I hope its a girl
I do not like people who do not like animals.
Take care,
Love,
Terri
What a gorgeous photo! You are so right. Sorry I haven't been by in a while, I'm trying to catch up with my visits to everyone. See you again soon!! xoxo
Francine is beautiful. We are in Tennessee and seeing all the beauty of a southern spring...and hearing the birds. One mocker sang all night last night. Oh, BTW, the little road our trailer is on is called Rabbit Run!
How pretty. Our pair of Canadian Geese in the town park pond have three new fuzzy little ones.
What a lovely picture. It's the responsibility of all of us to take care of this beautiful earth and to leave the world a better place than we found it.
How sweet is that photo?! A few years ago, my husband accidentally stepped near a Canadian goose's nest while she was laying, and boy did he get the surprise of his life--the gander pretty much dive-bombed him from out of nowhere! It seems that he was the perfect sentry. DH never saw it coming. You can bet we were tip-toeing around for the rest of the hike. You're absolutely right: Live simply, that others may simply live.
we sang a little ditty when we were kids:
Be kind to your fair feathered friends.
That duck may be somebody's brother.
I think the melody is a Sousa March.. but my recall is absurd right now.
What a wonderful picture, and a special message. Thank you.
