Quintessentially American

The sweet, cozy American bungalow. A cottage of sorts...how quintessentially American! How perfect for this, our own national holiday, to celebrate this style of home! Yes, it is my favorite type of residence and nothing delights me more, well, unless Brian Dennehy would drop by, than finding a new one with which to fall in love. I wanted to share with you two examples of bungalows...2 of my very favorite homes in the Dayton area.
In the weeks to come I plan to share even more with you...
I hope your weekend will be one filled with happy laughter, good food, loved ones and the warmth of hearth and home.
Happy 4th of July to one and all!
Love and Hugs,
Susie Q

I love this style too!

We're enjoying a couple of the g'kids here at the lake. We met them at Kingdom City last night. Their Aunt Terrie and Uncle Steve drove them and their mommy half way to meet us. Their dad will be here tonight. Fun times.

Happy 4th of July!!

I love bungalows too. There are quite a few of them in our area and I have a friend who lives in a beautifully restored one. She is very organized which is good because it is a small home.

Have a great 4th and send sun our way. Our fireworks have already been postponed because there's more rain predicted!

That's a nice place. I especially like the environment (that's aside from the beautiful house). I really want a silent and homy place.

Firs time to visit her. Found your comment in Omah's blog

o, these are my favorite, too. Too bad for me that I live in a 1950's tract house that looks about like all the others in this addition. Just pitiful. I have always loved the older neighborhoods with houses with personality and charm.
Happy 4th..and who knows, maybe Brian will call you on the 4th...

You have a beautiful cottage -- and I you always find other beautiful cottages so that we can drool over them.

I also noticed that your husband kind of has the same look as Brian. I promise I won't drool over him.. but, just sayin. (:
