Spring Fling

Okay. I have been moving this and re-arranging that. Just playing a little, or a lot if you ask my husband. I put the bakers rack back in the laundry room and added some bits and bobs from other places. Then my sweet husband finally hung my stained glass piece in front of the transom window in the kitchen! Okay, I am a happy camper now. He is no Bob Vila (But I always said I would rather have Norm Abrams anyway. Bob just talked. Norm did the work. The man can build furniture and houses. Now THAT would be sumpthin' to have around the house) but since I am no Martha Stewart (Although we both highlight our blond hair and love animals, I do not own several houses, a line of housewares at K Mart, have a magazine, television show or a prison record. Dang. I just have not lived)), we compliment one another don't ya know. But the man hangs a great stained glass piece right? (And he is cute to boot) Hey, it is still up there...T minus 24 hours and counting....
As soon as the baby leaves we are heading over to Mom's. It is our Thursday Extravaganza! Dining out! Grocery shopping! Could it get any more exciting that that? Nah...Grace always chooses the restaurant on Thursdays...I wonder where we will go tonight? I know, I know. You are green with envy right? Grocery shopping!! Dang. Okay, here is where I will admit that I LOVE grocery shopping. Really. But you knew I was just a titch off didn't you? I hope your Thursday is going well and that you have found many things to smile about today.
Hugs,
Susie Q

Have fun, Susie Q. I'm not much of a grocery shopper, but then, we have to drive an hour and a half just to get there--takes all the fun out of it! Hope Grace chooses a great place to eat.

Susie, what a sweet & homey display there on your baker's rack...and I'm very partial to stained glass windows. I have 3 still in the box & will hang them somewhere eventually.

The stained glass piece looks great! I love stained glass!!! You really do have a nack for arranging things...it all looks so pretty. I tried to copy some of your ideas when I put my Easter things out by stacking up some books under a basket to give it a little height. Mine just always looks like it's lacking "something" in the overall scheme of things.

Your evening sounds fun shopping and dining out. I'm sure Grace will select a special restaurant.

By the way...keep your hi-lites in your hair and skip the prison record...unless you just have to learn how to knit a poncho!!!

I'm going to sound like the biggest nerd, but I love, love, love grocery shopping!! All those sights and smells...mmmm...from the bakery, to the fruits and veggies, the candy section, magazine section, pharmacy...some of our grocery stores are now even carrying clothes!! You can shop, eat, and grocery shop all at the same time...it's heaven!

Oh how fun it must be to be you! :-) Tell me, how did women get the job of grocery shopping anyways? That's my least favorite job. That's why I always treat myself, when I go shopping with a nice cold Dr. Pepper, something chocolate AND a scrapbooking magazine :-)...I KNOW how to live, don't I?

Love the stained glass. I hate grocery shopping in general, but I do love going to an open market. Dean and Delucca's in New York was fun too. Ah I miss the bakeries in marks and spencers and Fenwicks in England. Okay, I like certain grocery shopping LOL!

Love the baker's rack and all of the really great stuff you have displayed - really like the chicken lamp and the teapot! Also, the stained glass looks amazing. Keep the pictures coming, I really like to see your cozy corners and displays.

I HATE grocery shopping...I mean I love spending money but I hate waiting in lines and having ignorant young rude cashiers.

We try to go once a year and then off and on for incidentals like milk and cheese.

And yes I did say once a year we have a big stand up freezer!
