Yes, Yes. I Remembered!

I did! I swear I remembered! Okay, so it momentarily slipped my mind. I would never really forget the giveaway. Uh huh. That little thing! Yup. I have a sweet tea towel from Washington DC, a nice little book about the wonderful spots in the DC area and a sweet box of Dayton, Ohio's own Esther Price chocolates here to give to someone. I felt like a human being for the first time in 7 days and had so much to do to pull a little holiday festivity out of my hat. So, in short, I am exhausted! Happy but tired. Giveaways And Snow And Hellos And Thank Yous And Blogging Weekends....

This has been my entire diet for days now!

And yes! This will be a rambling and scattered post! You figured out that from the headline right? You are all keen minds today! Hi to all my sweet friends and thank you for your prayers and dear wishes. I still feel awful so will not be on here much...I am a MAJOR big baby when it comes to stomach issues. YUCK! Thank you to Billy for being so good and yes. He has been really an angel to me of late. Not that he isn't MOST of the time...well...mostly anyway...well, there are SOME days ya know...ahem. I miss you all and miss blogging and my house is a mess and I have not held up my responsibility with my Church board duties (the minutes were due Sunday and I have yet to type them...I couldn't, I swear...and I worry about being a let down. See what a foo foo head I am?). You should hear the dreams I have been having...I doubt I could even begin to write down all the details suffice to say they are wild and weird and, hm. Maybe I should not really tell anyone this. Scratch that. My dreams have all been perfectly normal. Uh huh. N.O.R.M.A.L. But what IS normal anyway? Uh oh. I can now hear Mama Gump clearly in my head...is THAT normal? Please remember that you do NOT have to be a One Heart One World giveaway participant to enter the giveaway! I know there are a few of you, some I know very well, who have yet to enter mine. Now, perhaps you are thinking you have enough *stuff* or that Valentine's Day will be over when you get these things. There is always next year you silly head! And can we ever really have enough useless stuff? Nah...so add a comment, something like, "Okay Sue, Get off my back. I entered already!" and you just might win my superdeduper, um, snazzy, exciting...okay. Pretty mundane, bordering on not much, giveaway! Yippee! And it snowed last night, about 5 inches. Not enough to keep Bill home but Grace is here and happy as can be. She is making Valentine's Day gifts and writing her class party cards. Dan is here typing up his term paper too and the pets are all under various blankets and throws. Now, no one has mentioned it in awhile and it will be Memorial Day before we know it. It WILL! Do any of you still want to try for a Memorial Day Bloggy Babe Weekend? Was St. Louis still an option that would work for the most people? Center of the country an all... I would be happy to arrange a block of rooms in a hotel if I had a general idea how many would come. Keep in mind that a room can always be canceled later, but to get a block arranged, I have to give them a general #. And then you all would have to call in and make your reservations. Any ideas or input is VERY welcome and ever so wanted. I am easy as can be, I just so want to be able to see as many of you as possible! Let me know okay? Oh you silly bloggers...it would seem that many of you think Brian Dennehy will stop by to console you just because it was not your name Grace pulled from the glass turkey. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Now it seems that Brian himself has left a comment to tell our Janet at Housepeepers that it is actually Pamela at The Dust Can Wait he will be consoling. (Does anyone think that our Pamela may be a very silly lady?) Oh but I am so afraid that he will be unable to do that as he is here helping me do my Christmas Cards. The Winah!

Blogger is being quite difficult today so no picture! And it is to be another of *those* days so I can not post until later. I can not wait to get back to regular visits with all of you!! I have been adding names as comments came in and this morning, before Grace left for school, she pulled one from the glass turkey compote! (Very appropriate don't you think??). Sweets Gifts and My Heartfelt Thanksgiving Giveaway

Popping in to say I am still working my way through blogland a few at a time. Please know I am visiting you all and catching up on all your news even if I am unable to leave a comment. You are all so special to me and I have such warmth in my heart from all the sweet words that have given written here in the past few weeks. I feel blessed each day to have discovered this world of blogging and to have forged the friendships I have with all of you. Yes, I am so blessed to have my beloved life long friends here and around the country...people who have known me forever, seen all my bad habits, and STILL like me! No small feat! I hope they know how much I cherish each one of them. But with every sunrise I remember how lucky I am to have *met* each of you here in blogland. The support and love and friendship that I have discovered through this modern medium is a gift. A gift that I do not take lightly. To say thank you to you all I have put together a little Thanksgiving box. I do wish I could send one to every one of you who find your way here and actually read the drivel I write. That is not possible unfortunately but I hope that one of you will enjoy the little box and be able to use what is tucked away inside. Yes, I am late to get this done. I will take what comments are left between now and Monday at 6 am. If you left a comment today or yesterday and do not get back (Weekends are like that I know!) I will put your name in the hat, so to speak, as well. This way I can pop it in the mail Monday afternoon and give it a chance to arrive before Thanksgiving Day. For all my dear Canadian friends, I realize it is far too late for you this year but if one of you is the recipient, I hope you can tuck it away for next year! For those in Europe perhaps it will be something fun for you to have next Fall...a little fun from a silly American lady.

I have added a box of chocolates from my favorite local chocolatier! Now this gift can be enjoyed *after* Turkey Day right? Enclosed will be a white pumpkin plate, cloth placemats and napkins in Fall colors, Thanksgiving paper cocktail napkins, Fall leaf candles, a set of silk Fall leaves to scatter about, a sweet little *gobbling* turkey and 4 happy harvest time crackers for your holiday table! Good luck! Now, this sweet gift arrived the day after my mother was hospitalized so I am very slow in thanking my treasured friend, Sheila. Sheila is one of our dear Canadian bloggers and a more special lady could not be found anywhere. She is a talented writer and has the best heart, the sweetest soul. Please pop by and visit her if you have not yet done so. You will be warmed by her charm. Thank you Sheila...this arrived at a time I needed to find a smile. The sweet socks have warmed my tootsies and oh how good that chocolate is! I love it! The magazine is wonderful! I have had it with me on some recent late nights and it was such a precious diversion! The *to Do List* is just what this addled brained lady needed! Grace and I both enjoyed the red wrap with the cute kitty stickers! She cut each one off and has them saved on her memory board! How can I properly thank you for your kindness? I send you love and warm hugs and all my thanks. This is the front of the card Sheila packed inside...it is exactly how I feel about her and how I feel about each one of you. I have so much to be grateful for...so, so much.

Cassie, Sweet Cassie....

....talented Cassie, creative Cassie, generous Cassie! Yes, I know I have lots of catching up to do don't I? So, here goes and even if some of you are already decorating for the Christmas holidays, I will let you all in on a glorious Halloween package that arrived from Cassie at Mockingbird Hill. I was lucky enough to win her Halloween Giveaway and was it a WOW! Now, Cassie is such a talent and does she ever love that holiday that falls in late October! No, I do not mean MY birthday you big sillies (although I am petitioning the federal government to have it declared a national holiday if you would like to sign the form. Ahem)...I am talking about Halloween and was this box filled to the brim with oodles of treats! You KNOW you are in for something delightful when the box itself has been painted, decoupaged and is a true piece of art all by itself! I must tell you that we saved the box and will keep it until it turns to dust! It is just phenomenal! Everything was sweetly wrapped and just so pretty! Is this pillow not THE most fun thing you have ever seen for Halloween? I mean, this will be a holiday family heirloom! Both Dan and Grace LOVED this as did Bill and I! And this was the FIRST thing I unwrapped! Whoa! There were 4 bags with the coolest candles and all done up just so. I told you Cassie was special! How about these boxes?? Handmade and filled with the most wicked delights! And ooh those black roses... I LOVED these...old game letters that spelled appropriately spooky words as well as an old set of dice and a skeleton key! Oh Mummy darling! BOO! And this was not even all! Blogger is being cranky and not allowing me to post all the photos but believe me, fantastic is not a big enough word to describe it all. Thank you dear Cassie for giving me, well, ALL of us a huge lift and loads of smiles! Please pay Cassie a visit if you have yet to meet her. A Word From Our Sponsers...

Just a word from the other half of the Rabbit Run Cottage team....Sue is having computer issues so the much anticipated post bearing the winner's name will be up as soon as possible. The big drawing has been held and, I have been told, it was terribly exciting! Screaming and fainting and mass pandemonium occurred but that happens everyday at Rabbit Run Cottage. Go figure. I am finally getting this photo posted....the fun things included in the give away.
