Are You Ready For Some Football?

The Wee Elks had their first game Saturday night.
It was an away game, against the Northmont Bolts, one of the best teams in the league. But guess what? Our team won! They were so happy it was a joy to see. But good sportsmanship abound in his league and congratulations, smiles and greetings were heartily exchanged at the end.
Grace was so excited to be on the field for the first time...and how cute was she? I may be prejudiced on this fact but come one...right? *smile* Of course, all of the girls on this squad are cute as a button BUT they are also very sweet and work hard at this job.
Everybody do the Centerville Rumble...everybody do the Centerville Rumble...
Black and Gold, Black and Gold...
Greeting the opposing sides...
The victory *tunnel* made by parents, siblings, grandparents and well... all those who came out to support the team and the cheer squad. That's Grace at the rear right of the tunnel...such a sweet tradition!
The coaches always include the cheer squad in the post game huddle and
thanked them for being a apart of the big win!
We won! We did it! Whoo Hoo!
Wishing all of you a sweet week...take care of yourselves
and remember just how special you are!

Play Susie Q's, "My Favorites" Game!

Back in May (I am nothing if not slow and always behind that proverbial eight ball), I asked my blog friends to send in some personal questions. In a few posts in May and June, I answered all but this one.
Our Andi left this comment:
I would love to see a post of your "favorites". As much as I know you dislike posting a "list". It should include things like your favorite song, movie, movie star...like we have to guess at that one, game, sport, book, color, ballet, Broadway show...that you've seen, restaurant, auto, etc...you get the idea. But...you can only name "1" thing for each category...no 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices....my rules.Then...once you create the "favorites game" you have to get 5 more bloggers to do the same thing. I love making rules!!! And you have to create a cute little "I played Susie Q's Game" icon that we can post on our blogs when we play.
Well, I KNOW you all have come to realize how little I like doing lists (A collective moan is heard across the land), but I will do this for Andi because I adore her so. Now, I will include a list of favorites and then ask that you, all my blog friends do the same! If you choose to, here is a little icon that you can click and download. I just KNOW you will want all your readers to know you played Susie Q's game. What? No? Okay, do I have to beg?
I now present, using Andi's guidelines, Susie Q's Game....
There can only be ONE, count it, ONE answer for each question. Aha...you have to pick one!
I myself am very bad at this but let's try it! We will keep it all simple...just one little answer to "My favorite _______ is:" Uh huh. That's it!
I like to think of this game as an exercise in focusing on those sweet things that make us extra happy. We all need *happy* right? Even on a real downer of a day, there has to be *something* that could bring a smile to your pretty face. YOu know...your favorite things! At the very least, we might find out a new tidbit or two about our friends!

Words To Live By

Kat at Just a Beach Kat and Meggie at Meggie's Stuff both had a fun meme that was a new one for me. I knew it would take a bit of thought but it looked like fun! Here are the meme rules: 1. Write your own six word memoir 2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like 3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible, so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere 4. Tag five more blogs with links 5. Remember to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!
Here's my six word memoir: Photo: Irish Blogs I.E. "Life Is Short, Eat Dessert First!" Photo: NovaNews Now.com I do believe these are words to live by and I have tried my best to do so. These words have served me well over the years...hmm...served...serve...service...HEY! Can I get a little service over here? Chocolate! Get me chocolate! And hurry!
I tag
Andi , Janet , Sandi , Tammy and Valerie And heck. Anyone who would like to play along! I would love to see what you come up with! Love and hugs, Susie Q
