...and to my front porch. I still have a lot to do but it's time to begin!
All signs point to a lovely Spring!
Spring is here and I plan on bringing it home to Rabbit Run Cottage!
Make your Wednesday a sweet one!
Upon returning to our own neighborhood, I took a little walk to see some of my neighbors' entry ways. Oh how I love Fall and how I love a happy door!

You may remember that a Mama Robin built her cozy little home inside our front door flower basket. Today we gained 4 new residents at Rabbit Run! 4 of the 5 little blue eggs hatched and out they came! Mama Robin has declared war on anything and anyone who comes near the front yard or porch. So, for at least another few days, we can do no planting or weeding or re-doing the door basket! Bill was able to mow (We use a push mower so I guess it is just quiet enough not to frighten her.) but that is it for our front yard beautification this week!
Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo, (Sadly, little Gummo did not hatch) may you fly high and sing happily. Happy Birthday!
We have visitors at Rabbit Run Cottage! Ms. Bunny (So named by Miss Grace) Robin has made the sweetest nest in my front door basket. There, nestled among the silk forsythia and greenery is her new home and 5
perfect little eggs. Of course this means that I am worrying about them and obsessing over whether or not we will have 5 tiny baby robins soon. Some of you may remember that a dove (whom we named Madeline) hatched 4 little ones in this same basket 2 years ago. Sadly, a neighbor's cat paid a visit one night and we lost all but one. My fingers are crossed that these 5 escape a similar fate!
