Another busy December and wow!
The month sure flew by. It's New Year's Eve
and as I look back on the last month of the year, well, I feel so lucky.
It has been such a lovely month filled with friends, family and fun.
On one of the Date Nights Bill and I take each week it started to snow...
we were at The Greene for dinner.
It was just so pretty! It kicked off our holiday season in high fashion!
Grace is on the High School's Swim and Dive Team now so our evenings and
weekends are often found near a pool!
We decided to downsize our decorating this year but
it was still pretty.
Our annual Christmas week visit to The Golden Lamb
was sweet as always.
And there is always a visit to Clifton Mill.
A few friends from Wilbur Wright High School
(We have developed a bond over the years, a bond among all of us
who attended Wilbur Wright HS in Dayton no matter the year
we graduated. Our group is huge!
It also includes our extended group of children and grandchildren...all
of whom have become close.)
got together here to send good wishes,
love and sing a few carols
for another HS friend battling colon cancer.
Christmas Eve was at our home...
And we MUST have Christmas Crackers!
Christmas morning dawned bright...
Christmas Day afternoon and evening was at Mom's...
We have had a lot of measurable snow falls in December
so sledding on a school Snow Day is required!
We attended our friend's annual Christmas party and, as always,
enjoyed ourselves!
All our snow meant it was back to the slopes!
I was able to do the Christmas card photos for
some of our dear friends...
Grace went to her first High School dance and no Daddy was
ever prouder!
The annual visit from Tran Siberian Orchestra was amazing
and we also saw Mannheim Steamroller this year!
Winston likes the snow...
...and looks forward to more in January!
Just a few December moments...there were so many others and each one
will stay in my memory always. It was a good month!
Now as we say farewell to 2013 let's look back at the good things we have all
experienced, the times with friends and family, the laughter and smiles.
There has been sadness and worry for each of us but thankfully the year held
more sweet than bitter.
Here's to 2014 and may it bring all of us more joy than sorrow, more
smiles than tears.
God Bless you all.
Warmly,
Susie Q
