Welcome February!

These sweet robins wanted to welcome in the month of February! Now, they might be a wee bit early for Spring's arrival but aren't they a cheery sight of what will be? The trees near our church were full of these dear creatures yesterday...their precious songs filled  air. What a wonderful way to say farewell to January and hello to the month of romance!

I hope you are all well and that your February will be one chock full of happy moments!

Love and Hugs,
Susie Q

Great pictures! I'm not quite ready for spring, yet; but it may be just what I need as my attitude is the pits. The shoulder is doing great, just me (but I'm working on that!) Have a great week - my family is making me get out each day for something fun. Tomorrow, we're taking Caitlin (age 13) to buy a dress for the V. Day dance. Take care, Sally

I can't believe you've got robins already!! Ours don't show up until at least the start of April. Smart birds, they don't like all our snow. lol Beautiful pictures, my friend. xoxo

Susie~ Our birds are laying low, except for their short meal breaks. Usually in the morning...only if it's not too windy and or rainy.
Spring and summer brings them out by the dozens. I never tire of watching them flutter about. In the summer, hubs and I have spent hours in our backyard bird watching. We'll take our meals out there while they're eating and drinking from the fountain. They can be pretty entertaining for a couple of old folks like hubby and me.

I wanted to let you know how wonderful your potato leek soup was. Perfect for these chilly temps.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Hey Sweet Sue! How nice to be thinking of robins singing sweet songs rather than 6 more weeks of winter. We are presently getting blasted with snow. Are you also?

nice shots! must be attracted by that dried fruit hanging I notice them (& waxwings) converge on some ornamental cherry trees this time of the year. The cherries must be kinda bitter or something - as they eat everything else first before they finally have nothing else.

We saw a robin in a tree in our backyard yesterday and thought it quite strange. They usually are gone for the winter and are what we look for as our first sign of Spring.

Today we've been enjoying about 18 inches of snow!

Happy February to you, too.

Our robins have shown up early, too! They are so welcome, making me think Spring is really 'just around the corner.'
Happy February to you!

We had a whole backyard full of robins last week. On their way, I guess to your parts. Hope the weather there isn't too bad - are you digging out from all the snow? Have a lovely week.
