Operatic Table Style

My favorite area at the Cincinnati Flower Show was the "Dramatic Table Setting" tent.
Each table was set to showcase a particular opera...The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni,
Rigoletto, Aida, La Boheme, Madame Butterfly, La Traviata, Carmen...
The tableware, the flowers, the bits and bobs of table decor all expressed the beautiful music so well. Even the food was created with flowers and plants...
(As always, each photo may be clicked on to make it larger)
See if you can figure out which opera each of these represents...
I know that showcasing table settings by others is cheating just a bit but these were just too much fun not to share them with you!
I hope your day is a sweet one...
Love and Hugs,
Susie Q

They are fabulous! Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of using a mint julep cup for a table cloth tie kind of thing LOL.

All the best,
Allison

I think I saw Carmen and Madame Butterfly and maybe LaBoheme. I'll have to send my opera singer friends over to check it out and see what they think. Great idea.

Wow, what a colour fest..!
They are beautiful. I know little to nothing about opera, so I couldn't even begin to guess.

Congratulations on your first Tablescape! Tell Kipper we brought treats and Sophie would be happy to give him some tips on tablescaping if he ever wants to try his paw at it.

What fun those tablescapes were!! I'm not very good with knowing the opera, but the tables were very entertaining. Also, as I caught up on your posts, I loved the glimpses of your vignettes. Your house is VERY special, and don't you forget it!!!! Sally

These are some of the most opulent tables I've seen. So much detail. I recognized some of the pirates dishes from zgallerie. I see them everytime I'm in there and think, "who buys those". Well, now I know.

I'm not very knowledgable about operas, but the flowers and settings on these tables are so spectacular I am glad you shared them with us. They are simply brilliant:>)
