Blanketed...

We have had a total of 10 inches of snow with some ice tossed in for good measure. It is so still outside, so quiet. Grace had another day off from school and Dan's place of business is closed due to the Winter storm.
Kipper has had a little fun with our neighbor's dog, Millie. That is her you can see off to the right in the last picture and in the one just before Kip's photo! It always makes me smile to see them at play...and I needed a smile. Phooey. Bill is stranded in Atlanta tonight. The airlines discontinued service into Dayton today for several hours and now, even though they are flying again, he is one of quite a few vying for an empty seat! The odds are he won't be home tonight so I am having a lovely pout about it. Hrmpf.
I hope all of you are well, safe, warm and happy. I send you all much love and many hugs!

I will go home today though, no way they are stopping me. As soon as the hubby comes in from his last call we are headed home.

  3. What a beautiful snowfall! Sorry your hubby is stuck out of town....bummer. At least he's not stuck out in a car somewhere...that would be REALLY cold. Glad your puppy and his friend got to frolick in the snow.

  4. We had less than you, about 6 inches total. Not so much ice, either. My school was called off today but Bob's was in session! Hehehehehe!

Hang tight, Bill will be home soon.

  6. Sorry Bill is stuck. What a beautiful snowfall you had. Where's mine? We got hit with flurries and then an ice storm last night. I didn't go to work today because of my bad ankle. Wasn't risking injuring it more. Keep safe and stay warm, Bunny Lady. xxoo

  8. Bill is only a couple hours south of me...I'm sure that doesn't help your feelings any.
Your snow is beautiful and thankfully you didn't get the devastating ice.
    Stay safe,

  9. It's so beautiful outside today. We got the same weather you did and it's like a winter wonderland. Love your photos of it. The kids have had two days off school and they're grouching about having to go back tomorrow. They were enjoying their snow days. (And so was I!)

Lots of people around us have been out of power today, but we have been lucky enough to still have ours. It would be a cold day to have to go without heat!

  14. Oh Dear Sweet Sue, I hope he made it home safe and sound today. If not, I'm praying he's home early tomorrow.
I have to say, that is a beautiful sight to see! I love the snow. My heart does go out to all that are having a rough time of it though. I read on one blog that the power has been knocked out and will be for a while. Her friend blogged for her to let everyone know. That stinks when you lose your power.
Stay safe and warm. Lovely pics, especially of Kipper and friend. :) Much love to you, with big hugs til hubby makes it home.

  16. Wonderful pictures! I wish we'd get just a tiny bit of snow and have school cancelled for one day.

My husband was stuck in Memphis last week due to weather somewhere and it exhausting waiting at the airport. He's flying in from New Orleans today and hopefully won't have problems!
