Teeny edit: Hey Pamela!! I have not been able to leave a comment on your blog for awhile. I keep getting some goofy pop up blocked icons for some reason! I just wanted you to know I AM visiting! Oh, and I LOVED your new Salt and Pepper shakers! *giggle*
...what a difference a year makes! Of course, these photos made Daddy a bit misty eyed. Uh huh. Our little girl is growing up and we have the images to prove it!
Posing in front of Victoria's Secret in 2007...all of that pink for a confirmed pinkaholic!

...and tonight.
And yes, this is the same Santa Claus. We have visited him for 3 years straight and Grace is convinced he IS real. In her words, "He might not be THE Santa but he is a really important helper for sure!" Now for all of you naysayers (like my Mom!) who think Grace is just pulling our leg about *believing*, well, here it is in HER words. Ahem...her BFF, who still greatly believes, was chatting with our Grace over the weekend. Her Mom over heard this conversation....
BFF: "Can you believe that some kids in our class think it is the parents who put out all that stuff on Christmas Eve?"
Grace: "No way! I KNOW it has to be Santa 'cause my dad would never spend THAT much on me all at once!"
Hmmm....let me think about this. So Santa is getting ALL the credit for being such a great guy. Whoa.
Oh well...I just know that *I* still believe. And yes. I AM a big kid. A REALLY big kid thank you very much.
Love and hugs,
Susie Q
Wow is right! Grace is really growing up...right before our eyes. She's such a cutie pie.
ReplyDeleteChristmas hugs!

Told you! Make her stop! Before she's all grown up and moved away.
ReplyDeleteMy Gillian is doing the same thing. Sigh.
Grace is growing like a weed. But what a beautiful young lady she is becoming. I love it when kids are at that "iffy" stage with Santa and still believes. Because you all know I still believe!
ReplyDeleteOh My goodness is Grace ever growing fast. What a sweet conversation with her BFF. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThey grow so quickly, and then they're gone. (sigh) But, never fear, they come back--with their laundry!
ReplyDeleteYour sweet Grace is growing more lovely each passing year. And I believe in Santa too!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pictues of Grace! She sure is growing up fast! It was fun seeing the changes in just one year.
ReplyDeleteI'll never stop believing in Santa! I'll always "hear that bell ringing". ;)
I think I told you a few months back dad better get his stick ready. She is sure growing up to be one beautiful girl.
ReplyDeleteIt is a confirmed fact that if you stop feeding your children they will not grow up.... oops, now my secret is out!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I love my grown up Ashley just as much as my baby Ashley!
They do grow fast don't they! I can't believe my little girl is going to be a senior next year and then off to college....I don't even want to thing about it!!

Wonderful post! They do grow up - so hard for us parents! But, when they do grow up, they come back with grandchildren for us to enjoy. Have a great day. Sally

Hi Susie! Just came over with my mom (KnittingPathsOfLife) to see your blog. Now I just had to pipe in here and tell you that Grace is right...Santa is REAL, very REAL. I know since I am an elf and work for him. :)

I love Grace's line about her dad not spending all that money at one time....very cute...
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of Grace! That is one good looking Santa. I like how your darling daughter thinks...there MUST be a Santa!
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful little girl is growing up...so pretty!
ReplyDeleteAnd I still believe!!! My Mom told me if I ever stopped believing that Santa Claus wouldn't leave me anything. Every year until my Mom died I received a special package...suspiciously signed in my Mom's distinctive handwriting...Love, Santa
you aren't the first to tell me you can't comment. It has to be a blogger/google problem. Wish I knew what to do.
ReplyDeleteGrace is well named.
We believe Merry Christmas
