Am I Boring You To Tears?

Such an amazing place and a must do in Chicago. Their restaurant is a wonderful spot to stop and eat. Both their indoor and outdoor seating are lovely and the food and service was perfection! Am I gushing enough? And no...I was NOT paid for this advertisement! *smile*

The Goodman Theater...one of the best regional theaters in the country. Brian Dennehy is appearing here in Desire Under The Elms from January through March. Hmmm...I wonder if I should go...hm....

Second City Comedy Club...if you are ever in Chicago, this is another must do! This is the place where so many giants of the comedy world got their start. So many names echo in these halls. Those that first appeared as troupe members on the stage at Second City Chicago include: John Candy, Dan Ackroyd, John Belushi, Alan Arkin, Robert Klein, Fred Willard, Peter Boyle, George Wendt, Gilda Radner, Mike Myers, Chris Farley...and the list goes on and on. We were first there several years ago and saw SC troupe members that went on to become cast members of Saturday Night Live. We thought Tina Fey was wonderful that night and she has done pretty well for herself since then eh?

Uh huh. It's Dr. Hartley. Well, you know I made the trek to visit Mary in Minneapolis right? So, I just had to stop in to see Dr. Hartley in Chicago!

I apologize if I am boring you all...truly! I just love photographing such amazing sights and such a beautiful city! I promise to get back on track visiting and posting *real* life as soon as I can. Until then, stay well, be good to yourselves and smile often!

    Sue, your pictures are just beautiful! Even though I've lived here all my life, I've never seen most of the things you mentioned. Maybe next time you're in town, we can get together and see some sights together!

    I am not bored in the least...my Mother always told us "we were too young to be bored" and obviously I am still way too young! I have never been to Chicago so I am enjoying your tour immensely.

    Your pictures could never bore us, dear Sue, in fact they always leave me in awe at the beauty you have around you wherever you go!! I've never felt the urge to visit Chicago but now after seeing your pictures, it's another place I DO want to visit!     Is this not the most AMAZING art museum? It is my favorite of any I've ever been to! I could not get over all the Van Goghs and Monets especially. And the girls searched everywhere until we found American Gothic...it was like a wild goose chase, then they found it and were so excited.

    Just an amazing museum! And your photos of it are amazing too!

The red vase with white etching at the top of this post is gorgeous! Chicago is a fabulous place, I haven't been there in years and I clearly need to go back!

    Chicago looks so nice! My son and daughter-in-law had such a wonderful time there when they visited it a few years ago, and I recogonized many places they saw in your photos. It makes me really want to go!

    I just read through a few of your posts, and you are really making Chicago and Illinois in general a very tempting place to visit. Maybe you should work for the state tourism bureau. Really, really good and interesting posts. love the pictures. Susan
